I adore the name [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. I think it’s so timeless and classy! While it is very popular, [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]/[name_f]Aubree[/name_f] is even more popular. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think that [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] would go through life constantly telling people, “no it’s auDREY, with a D. Like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] Hepburn?” [name_m]How[/name_m] much of a nuisance would that be?
My sister is an [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], and my coworker is an [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]. For me it gets confusing, but I have never heard either of them have to explain their name. I know my sister for sure never has. She loves sharing a name with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] Hepburn, and sometimes goes by Drey. Personally, I love the name. It’s beautiful and timeless with a great meaning.
I do not think it would be a problem…
People [name_f]MAY[/name_f] occasionally mix up [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] but I doubt it will happen frequently and regularly.
I really doubt they would get confused. They’re both popular and familiar enough that people will be able to tell right away what name is what.
