I like them both a lot, but [name]Madeleine[/name] has been on my name list since I was 5 years old. I find it so beautiful and timeless.
[name]Audrey[/name] goes wonderfully with [name]Isabelle[/name], so that’s probably what I’d go with. [name]Both[/name] [name]Audrey[/name] and [name]Madeleine[/name] have an old-school Hollywood glamour, and the two names aren’t that different.
It also depends on what your middle name and last name are. If she’s going to have a hyphenated six-syllable moniker, maybe having the vowel-heavy [name]Madeleine[/name] isn’t the way to go. Likewise, if your name starts with an E, [name]Audrey[/name] might bump into that and sound awkward. For middle names, make sure either [name]Madeleine[/name] or [name]Audrey[/name] go well with it.
If you don’t have a middle picked out, [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name] is a beautiful combination that also sounds lovely with [name]Isabelle[/name], and that’s where my vote lies.
I prefer [name]Madeleine[/name].
We have a short 2 sylable surname starting with E.
Also, it seems very likely that the middle name will be [name]Susan[/name] after a much loved family member (it was previously going to be [name]Lisa[/name] or [name]Valerie[/name] - also after family members.
I prefer [name]Audrey[/name] but I think they are both beautiful choices. I agree with the poster that said they both have that old-school Hollywood glamour sound to them. I think [name]Audrey[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name] make the sweetest sibset. [name]Madeleine[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name] sound nice together too but it’s almost a little expected.
I prefer [name]Madeleine[/name] with [name]Isabelle[/name] .The only problem is that both are french names so if you have a third DD you must to choose another french name so she want feel left out but if that doesnt bother you [name]Madeleine[/name] is a wonderful choise .[name]Audrey[/name] is ok ,nothing special .
Yes, I tend to agree that [name]Madeleine[/name] is almost expected as a sibling for [name]Isabelle[/name]. I think [name]Audrey[/name] is sweet, but [name]Madeleine[/name] is a lot more interesting for me. I feel [name]Audrey[/name] is a little dry.
Thank you all for your input.
I love both names. A douple name like [name]Audrey[/name]-[name]Madeleine[/name] or [name]Madeleine[/name]-[name]Audrey[/name] would be a dream for me! But you can’t go wrong either way.
I’d pick [name]Audrey[/name] in the end. I feel Madelelne would be more troubling as a first name — it would get mispronounced/mispelt constantly; it will probably get shortened to [name]Maddy[/name] unless you pick a different nickname; it’s much more popular with all the different variants around + similarity to the popular [name]Madison[/name].
I like [name]Isabelle[/name] and [name]Madeleine[/name] together. [name]Both[/name] are French without feeling overly exotic. However, [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Susan[/name] works a little better in my opinion than [name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Susan[/name].
I love both, two of my top names. [name]Madeleine[/name] is an old fave and [name]Audrey[/name] relatively new. I agree with the poster who said the [name]Madeleine[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name] is beautiful but more expected than [name]Isabelle[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name]. [name]Both[/name] work though. It sounds like [name]Madeleine[/name] might work better with your last name though, which is ultimately more important than working with the middle name. Too bad you can’t do [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name] or [name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Audrey[/name].
