[name_m]Both[/name_m] are such lovely names with such strong meanings. Which do you prefer? What would be a good brother name? Looking for something with strain meanings.
Thanks!

I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] best.
I hadn’t been a massive fan of either, but they’re both suddenly appealing to me. Similarly: [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilian[/name_f]. To me they’re all in the same vein of the very few old-lady names that seemed to catch on in the US before the UK.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] would make beautiful sisters.
I prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f], for some reason (I’m not sure why) I’ve never been a fan of the name [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], although I have known several wonderful Audreys. Aside from that, I like that [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is less common that [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. As far as brother names, something classic, [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] come to mind.
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]… I always love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
This is a tough one!!! I think both are so beautiful. Wouldn’t it be lovely to name a daughter [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]?
I guess though if I have to pick just one, I am leaning towards [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but only due to it’s less common use.
Brothers? I too would use something classic- [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] are great suggestions. Also [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_m]Winston[/name_m].
This is a hard decision! I love both names! My issue is with nicknames…I don’t like [name_f]Aud[/name_f] for [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and I don’t like [name_f]Nor[/name_f] for [name_f]Nora[/name_f]…granted they might not be called by their middle names…I don’t think you can go wrong with both choices - both classic, sophisticated and beautiful
Ooh, this is a tricky one! I really love both. I feel that [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] might age better than [name_f]Nora[/name_f], though, so perhaps I’d have to go with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] for that reason. However, if the question was [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] vs. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f] would certainly win
Best of luck!
Good challange! I agree that both of these names sound classy & sophisticated & would make beautiful little sisters: [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] & [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
Out of the two names, I think that [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is much more beautiful, timeless, and would fit on a variety of personalities. I feel like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is a but more stiff, and a bit more feminine, and a little bit more adult (slightly harder to see on a little girl).
I also like the spelling [name_f]Norah[/name_f] to [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but that’s just a personal note.
As a brother… Something classic, something soft… Maybe [name_f]Norah[/name_f] & [name_u]Gus[/name_u]?
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] & [name_u]Win[/name_u] ([name_m]Winston[/name_m])?
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] and [name_m]Gulliver[/name_m], [name_m]Hugh[/name_m], [name_m]Harry[/name_m], or [name_m]Reuben[/name_m]?
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] & [name_u]Seth[/name_u], [name_u]Sydney[/name_u], or [name_m]Ted[/name_m]?
Or something a little less common…
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] & [name_u]Darcy[/name_u],
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] & [name_m]Hamish[/name_m],
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] & [name_m]Finnian[/name_m]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] & [name_m]Basil[/name_m]
Or if you want to break the rules and go with some alliteration
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] & [name_m]Nate[/name_m]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] & [name_m]Ned[/name_m].
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] would go with a fair few of these too.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]/[name_f]Norah[/name_f] is very up and coming here in the Midwest. I had four doula clients use it in the last year! I think it is beautiful, but is more popular than [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. For a boy, I agree with classic and masculine. [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is nice because it has a British feel to me, as do both of the girl names.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f]! No contest as far as I’m concerned. The [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] trend kind of ruined [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] for me. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is just so sweet, timeless, approachable, lovely, and sophisticated! I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f]'s brother would be [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], or [name_m]Charles[/name_m].
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. Years ago, I LOVED [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but then it seemed to get everywhere, and I started liking other -ora names ([name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Eliora[/name_f]!), and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] just seemed to be so overdone and overrated to me (it also helps that the only [name_f]Nora[/name_f]/[name_f]Norah[/name_f] I’ve ever known was a spoiled brat, too…). It’s been growing on me a wee bit lately, but I still prefer [name_f]Cora[/name_f] as far as -ora names go, and I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] better than [name_f]Nora[/name_f], as well. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are lovely, though! I would love to meet an [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Eliora[/name_f], for what it’s worth, unless you already have a middle picked out.
As for brothers, I love the suggestions of [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m], and [name_m]William[/name_m]. Also:
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Charles[/name_m]/[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Benedict[/name_m]/[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]/[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]/[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Lucian[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Finnian[/name_m]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
Good luck!
I prefer the elegance and sophistication of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is ok too but it doesn’t have the depth and history that [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] has in spades. For brothers, I think [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] fit the bill very well.
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]! way better than old lady [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] sound great
I think I prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f], simply because I’ve run in to a number of Audreys lately.
[name_f]Susan[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is a beautiful classic name. I am not a fan of [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. I don’t like the way it rolls off the tongue.
I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is sweet.
Seriously, I can’t vote! I love [name_f]Norah[/name_f] (this spelling) due to a character in a book. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is also stunning. I know equal amounts of both names. I agree that traditional names would work well as brothers:
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
[name_m]David[/name_m]
[name_m]Adam[/name_m]
Oh my goodness! I know sisters named [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. They are probably 6 and 3 years old now.
I much prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] – it is both classy and classic.
I fear [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is too trendy.
[name_m]Both[/name_m] are beautiful- and I think I prefer the artsy-vintage feel of [name_f]Nora[/name_f] VERY slightly. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are lovely and would make wonderful names for sisters.
I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] more
