Aura?

so i’ve always loved the name [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], so pretty and light and princess-like. but i was told it was too much of a mouthful, and to be honest i came to agree.

now i’ve just come across [name_f]Aura[/name_f] and i’m starting to really love it- it gives me the same feel as [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] but with an easier pronunciation.

what are your opinions on [name_f]Aura[/name_f]? i’m aware it’s not a very popular name so i’d be interested in seeing if you think it’s usable or not. also thoughts on similar names like [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Auria[/name_f]?

I like [name_f]Aura[/name_f]. Short and sweet, with a whimsical, magical feel, but not too over the top or out there. I also like [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] (I have her, [name_f]Aura[/name_f], and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] on my list), which I find a particularly strong choice. [name_f]Auria[/name_f] is nice, but I prefer [name_f]Aura[/name_f].

My husband gets auras before his migraines strike, so I associate it with that.

@lesliemarion Me too!

I prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]

I associate it with how people have auras. Doesn’t feel like a name to me, sorry! :frowning:

I know an [name_f]Aura[/name_f].
I always thought her name was [name_f]Ora[/name_f] (the Hebrew word for ‘light’.)

[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] (pronounced oh-[name_u]RAY[/name_u]-lee-a like in [name_u]Love[/name_u] Actually) nn [name_f]Aura[/name_f] gets my vote

Only one I don’t like is [name_f]Auria[/name_f]

Not a fan of [name_f]Aura[/name_f]…seems like it’s missing a consonant, as in [name_f]Laura[/name_f] or [name_f]Maura[/name_f]…
