I know I’ve been bothering you guys a lot with my search for the perfect name the last few days, but… I’d like to hear your thoughts on the name [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m]. Good or bad? Nicknames you can think of?
The combo we’re thinking about is [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]… The name would be honoring one of our best friends who passed away very recently. We asked him to be baby’s godfather and he was delighted and honored. Not even a week later he passed away unexpectedly.
It’s a little unusual, but since unusual has become the new usual, I don’t think it will cause any problems. I don’t pause at the pronunciation at all. I think it’s good overall, and [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] is an excellent pairing.
Nicknames:
[name_u]Ari[/name_u] / Auri
[name_m]Eli[/name_m]
[name_u]Lian[/name_u] (like [name_m]Liam[/name_m], but with an ‘n’)
I adore the name [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m]; it’s on my own list. My nicknames of choice are [name_m]Rei[/name_m] (like [name_u]Ray[/name_u]) and [name_u]Ari[/name_u].
[name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] is fantastic. It’s the meaning behind [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] that really makes the name shine.
I love [name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]! It’s a great mix of daring and classic.
I think all nicknames have already been suggested, but just saying that out of all of them my personal favorite is [name_u]Ari[/name_u]
[name_m]Aurelian[/name_m] is strong, bold and brilliant, [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] makes for a nice middle and that special meaning is just beautiful. A lovely combo indeed.
