My husband and I cannot decide on a girls name for our baby due in [name]April[/name]. We have a little Boy at the moment and his name is [name]Bodhi[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name], if we have another boy we have decided on [name]Reef[/name] [name]Xander[/name] or [name]Reef[/name] [name]Slater[/name].

We want a name that everyone likes, but at the same time we want something different and uncommon.

I like [name]Lani[/name], [name]Lana[/name], [name]Ayla[/name], Zali- phonetic, spunky and suits our Aussie ways.
[name]Kaiah[/name] strikes me as a name destined for spelling errors her whole life - [name]Kyah[/name], [name]Kayah[/name], [name]Kiah[/name] etc Naiyah is in the same boat [name]Nya[/name], [name]Nia[/name], [name]Naiah[/name] etc Plus I reckon most Aussies won’t pronounces them very easily.
[name]Indigo[/name] is OK- I like the nn [name]Indie[/name] (which also makes me think of [name]Indian[/name] [name]Summer[/name])
[name]Alannah[/name]- I like BUT can be pronouced [name]AL[/name]-AN-[name]AH[/name] or [name]AL[/name]-[name]AH[/name]-NA so she will be correcting people- plus it seems too common compared to your other choiced.
Another name you might like is [name]Noelani[/name] ([name]Heavenly[/name] Mist) nn her [name]Lani[/name].
or [name]Leilani[/name] (heavenly flower) nn her [name]Lani[/name]
or [name]Nalani[/name] (calm skies) nn her [name]Lani[/name]
I like [name]Kaiah[/name], but prefer [name]Kaya[/name] spelling. I know an [name]Ayla[/name] and she likes her name. I prefer [name]Lola[/name] and [name]Lena[/name] to your L choices.
[name]Bodhi[/name] is great though and [name]Bodhi[/name] and [name]Kaiah[/name] is a perfect pairing.

Jedda comes to mind, it means “pretty” in some form of aboriginal Australian.

[name]Kaiah[/name] is just feeling over done to me. [name]Indigo[/name] I never got the appeal of. Zali is ehh, feels more like a boys name. [name]Alannah[/name] is okay, but I think of it as a mispelling of [name]Alana[/name], even though they’re two different names. [name]Ayla[/name] feels bothersome to say.
Edit: As fond as I am of Lana, it also spells an undesirable word backwards, another factor you might want to look at.
