Autumn

What’s the consensus on it? Is it dated?

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] feels a lot like the very popular [name_m]August[/name_m], and [name_m]Rowan[/name_m] to me. Very sweet, and well known. I’m not sure how commonly it’s used now, but I don’t find it dated at all.

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is very sweet! [name_f][/name_f] I grew up with a couple, but I also know a bunch who are little now! [name_f][/name_f] It mostly feels like a modern classic as far as nature names go? [name_f][/name_f] There always seems to be quite a few in my area, so maybe it’s also just very loved in my area. [name_f][/name_f] I used to be sick of [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] because I heard it so much, but I’m starting to really like her again because I don’t hear her as much as I used to. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]She[/name_f] definitely doesn’t feel dated to me!

I’m not sure it’s dated, I guess it just started to be properly used around the gen X kind of age group (? that’s me assuming without looking at the stats!) and wasn’t really around before that, so it feels attached to recent generations at the moment[name_f][/name_f]. It’s still popular so not a flash in the pan and won’t be forever stuck in one time period like some names. It’s kind of one of the original nature word names beyond flowers! I think [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] sounds sweet, sensible, pensive, and has a little bit of a hippy/creative edge. I think of [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] de [name_m]Wilde[/name_m] who imho has made it very stylish.

Depends on where you live, but it’s still in the Top 100 in the US and just outside of it in the UK (110) so I think it’s too popular for babies to really feel too dated!

I like the earthy, gentle-yet-stylish feel of it. It’s [name_f][/name_f] in the UK Top 150, so I wouldn’t call it dated where I am yet

It sounds fresh and new like fall to me.

I love [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], it’s not one you hear often now, but it’s pretty! It’s on our list actually

I love [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]. I dont think its dated & i don’t know anyone who has named their baby it.

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is sweet and I like that it’s a nature word while still being instantly recognisable as a name. I’ve met child Autumns and it’s still very popular in the US and UK, so I wouldn’t call it dated.

I absolutely love [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] :maple_leaf:

She’s such a gorgeous name! I do not find her dated at all she’s such a carefree warm, spirited name with lovely imagery attached. Gives me similar vibes to names like [name_m]Rowan[/name_m].

I don’t think it’s dated at all. It’s very sweet and spicy! [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name fresh and crisp which is fitting.
