We are considering the name Avalie, but want it to be pronounce ah-vuh-lee, NOT ava-lee. I get many people will likely mispronounce it. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any suggestions for a better spelling? Thoughts? For people who say it is “made up” I’m okay with that. Avalee is actually a hebrew name meaning “life”, but I prefer our spelling.
I love the name Avalie! I actually pronounced it ah-vuh-lee because of [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] and my new favorite Novalee as influence. Personally, I think Avalee might be easier to pronounce, but it could just be me 
I love Avalie! I think you will just have to tell people how to pronounce it. I think of it like the different pronouciations of [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. It’s just another way to pronounce the same name but there’s not really another way to spell it to distinguish the difference. But I love it either way!
I would keep that spelling. I think you will have to correct the prn for several people, but it’s a beautiful name!
