[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! We’re thinking of using the name [name_u]Avery[/name_u] but wanted to get some opinions first. I know thats it’s a unisex name, but it seems to be used a lot more for girls. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it for a boy?
I love [name_u]Avery[/name_u]! I love it for a boy or a girl. It’s definitely more popular for girls but it’s common for boys as well (in the top 250 boys’ names in the US currently) and I think it makes a cool, strong, handsome, and friendly name for a boy.
I only know one [name_u]Avery[/name_u], and he’s a boy! I’ve met/heard of girls named [name_u]Avery[/name_u] too, but I think it totally works on a boy.
I’ve only heard it for girls and I dislike it for anyone. But I am not a good person to ask because I don’t think there are many any gender names I like.
I love [name_u]Avery[/name_u] on a boy (in fact I think I prefer it). I see the name as completely gender neutral, in the same vein as [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].
I love [name_u]Avery[/name_u] in general such a gorgeous name that feels soft and handsome really sweet I also love the meaning ‘ruler of the elves’ such a sweet Christmassy meaning. I think [name_u]Avery[/name_u] is wonderful for a boy I actually only know of one [name_u]Avery[/name_u] who is indeed a boy so I think the name does work for either sex.
Good luck
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] is very charming for a boy! I like it!!
I do like it for both girls and boys. I like that it’s a fresher sounding (athough medieval) version of Alfred. Although it the surname of one of the (male) death eaters in Harry Potter and that is my first association when I think of the name.
I like it a lot more for a boy than a girl! It is just so overused for girls, so it is really exciting to see it on boys!
Not a fan on a girl but love it for a boy. I grew up knowing one of each gender and it just seemed to suit the boy better.
I love [name_u]Avery[/name_u] for a boy. [name_f]My[/name_f] first association for the name is the handsome Dr [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] [name_u]Avery[/name_u] on Grey’s Anatomy
