I love it! [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] choice and wish it had its own page here too.

Interestingly, Germans pronounce Z like TS, so a [name_m]German[/name_m] today would naturally say “[name_m]Ah[/name_m]-vey-tsah” on a cold read of it. No biggie. Either way it’s pretty.

Thank you! :smiley: Also, thank you for pointing out that Germans pronounce Z like TS. We are of [name_m]German[/name_m] decent but we, unfortunately, do not know the language.

Darn it! I just realized I accidentally omitted the word “the” from the third choice option in the poll. My apologies!

Also wanted to point out that my username is not my given name, it’s just something I made up.

It kind of sounds like [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] or [name_f]Aziza[/name_f], which I like better.

I’m really, really, reallllllllly sorry…but it sounds a little bit like a prescription drug to me. Sorry!!

As for getting new names added, there is a message thread where you can suggest additions, maybe in the “All About Nameberry” board, I can’t recall exactly at the moment. I’ve posted there before and on blog callouts for suggestions, but they’ve never added anything I’ve requested.

I’ve never heard Aveza before and I think it’s reminding me of “cerveza”, the Spanish word for “beer”. Other than that I think I like it OK. I agree with a PP that it also reminds me of [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] and [name_f]Aziza[/name_f], which I also like pretty well.

I have no idea how to get a name added to Nameberry, sorry!

I just realized that I spelled Germanic as Germainic in the title of the poll. I’m usually much better with proofreading things. Is there anyway to edit the title of a poll once it has created or anything in my original post or following replies for that matter? Thanks!
