A friend of mine is naming her baby girl [name_f]Azaria[/name_f].
It’s NMS but I do think it’s quite pretty.
Thoughts? Middles?

[name_u]Azariah[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_u]Azariah[/name_u] Teleah
[name_u]Azariah[/name_u] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_u]Azariah[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_u]Azariah[/name_u] [name_f]Celine[/name_f]
Does she pronounce it
ah-zahr-ee-uh or a-zuh-rye-uh?
[name_u]Azariah[/name_u] is a biblical boys name with the latter pronunciation, I think, so I’m not sure I like it on a girl. It sounds a bit of a mouthful.
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] Raeya
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Vita[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Aura[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Angeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Marcella[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] Marlize
Makes me think too much of Hanz [name_f]Azaria[/name_f]. It’s on the rise though. I like it with one syllables, [name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], etc.
I think the name Azaria is pretty. Zaria is another name she can use as well.
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f]
Isn’t [name_f]Azaria[/name_f] mostly famous for being the name of that little girl who was snatched and eaten by dingoes in Australia a while ago?
The first one. I agree the second doesn’t work on a girl.
Still a boy’s name even without the h. H doesn’t control gender in Hebrew. It’s just a variant transliteration. Think [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]/[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] or [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]/[name_f]Rebekah[/name_f].
[name_u]Azariah[/name_u]/[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] is all boy to me.
For the sound in Hebrew click here. Which is pretty much what I think
I like [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] for a girl, or [name_f]Aviva[/name_f]. Or [name_f]Zara[/name_f], or [name_f]Zehava[/name_f].
I think a middle like [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] would be pretty, short and with a nice meaning. I also like unexpected nature names like [name_f]Fern[/name_f].
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_m]Joel[/name_m] or [name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] are a combos I’d like for a boy.
It was during the 1970s; but its still would be a tad problematic here even though the trial has ended and the mother was believed to be wrongly accused. It’s still a very suspicious event in Australian history, the baby was only 2 months old, and they never found her remains. All they uncovered was blood splatter and a outfit (virtually in mint condition minus blood stains,) hence the suspicion, how can a dingo take of a baby’s clothes before eating it? They also found blood in the parents car. It just doesn’t sit well with me, obviously we’ll never know what really happened, but I think more happened out there than we know. I think that is a very select view though and probably more of an issue in Australian that anywhere else.
It was on my list as a middle, pron uh-zair-ee-uh, for a girl. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband said absolutely not as it was too “out there” for his family. I love it.
Something one syllable for a middle name would be nice.
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Azaria[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_f]Susan[/name_f]
wasn’t that the name of the [name_m]Dingo[/name_m] baby?
