Azraella?

So a few days ago I posted a thread about the name [name_m]Azriel[/name_m]. I still love this name to bits and I still think that it could go amazingly well on a girl.

But…

I saw the name Azraella yesterday and at first I thought it looked stupid and dismissed it but I’ve been thinking about it a lot more today and I don’t know, maybe it’s growing on me. It does make the name more feminine… Nicknames could be: Azzy, [name_u]Rae[/name_u], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]

Pronounced /az-ray-[name_f]EL[/name_f]-ah/

I’m not completely set on it yet but I just want to ask what you guys think of it compared to [name_m]Azriel[/name_m]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer Azraella over [name_m]Azriel[/name_m] on a girl? Or should I just stick with [name_m]Azriel[/name_m]?

I don’t mind it! I think it’s better than [name_m]Azriel[/name_m] for a girl.
What about Azriella?

Azraella isn’t my favorite but [name_m]Azriel[/name_m] is a boys name so I much prefer it to that. Azraella is pretty even if not my style, and has good nickname potential

[name_m]Azriel[/name_m] is a unisex name and statistically it’s 1.087 times more common to be given to a girl than to a boy.

Edit: But honestly, if I have to keep correcting people that it is actually a unisex name it might just not even be worth using as I can see down the road how it could get extremely annoying so for that reason Azraella might be the best choice.

I prefer this for a girl.

Azraella is interesting - I like the sounds though I admit the spelling threw me about the pronunciation at first - not too much of an issue though

I do like [name_m]Azriel[/name_m] a little more though tbh

I think Azriella is the more intuitive spelling for the pronounication you are looking for.

Azriella is a very pretty name. [name_m]Azrael[/name_m] could work for a girl, but most people would probably assume that it was a boy

The spelling looks odd.
