When I was a teenager I wrote a story (which took me years and helped me survive high school) and I had a girl character in it who needed a name. I thought I’d made something up when I called her [name_m]Azriel[/name_m]. Needless to say I was pretty dismayed when I discovered it was a real name, and a boy’s name at that.
Ooh I love [name_m]Azriel[/name_m], (although I like it spelled ‘Asriel’ like the character in HDM)! [name_m]Osric[/name_m] is delightful. For girls, I like Eiryth and [name_f]Sabine[/name_f]
I absolutely love Eirys and Eiryth, I’ve been thinking about both of them too recently. They’re both really delicate and summery yet feel ancient and magical to me. I also met a little [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] a few weeks ago and she made me quite like it (I’d previously had a strong dislike) - her mum called her Beanie and it was sort of adorable.
As for your boys, I love [name_m]Thane[/name_m], [name_m]Azriel[/name_m], Stelian and [name_m]Osric[/name_m]. I met a little [name_m]Thane[/name_m] recently, it’s such a cool name and he was cute. [name_m]Sampson[/name_m] is a bit too surnamey for me (I like [name_m]Samson[/name_m] a lot more but the biblical reference feels too heavy).
Im loving [name_m]Sabian[/name_m], [name_m]Theon[/name_m] (both on my list), Stelian, Lazslo, and [name_m]Thane[/name_m], even though it reminds me of Macbeth, I kind of like it. For girls Eirys and Eiryth intrigue me, I must do some research…

Oh dear! I had a similar thing happen, when I was very young (around 9 or 10) I wrote a story in which the heroine was named [name_f]Sue[/name_f], short for Sudeshna. At the time I thought I had made it up, but obviously I had read/heard it somewhere and it stuck somewhere in my subconscious as I later realised it’s an [name_f]Indian[/name_f] (Hindu) name.

Ohhhh a name from FF- I like Eiryth but i would be inclined to keep the spelling as it was to start : [name_f]Aerith[/name_f] / Aeryth/ Aeris Or [name_f]Eris[/name_f] But the Eiryth confused me. As I would be saying it as Iyer-ith but i am interested to knwo how that spelling is pronounced by yourself as i could be saying it the wrong way or it could be as the final fantasy character pronounces it.
But i like Eiryth/Eirys [name_f]Sabine[/name_f]
I like azriel but it reminds me of the gargamels cat on the smurfs! lol

So, nobody’s going to mention that [name_m]Azriel[/name_m]/[name_m]Azrael[/name_m] is the angel of death? Well, if you’re going for a dark name then I guess [name_m]Azriel[/name_m] is nice
