@[name_f]Sarah[/name_f]-
Yes we used a midwife this time instead of an obstetrician AND we switched hospitals, and it was way better. The midwife was so much more involved than the OB was, so I felt like I could trust what she was telling me. And labour was on all fours so it went SO much faster!
What is the deal with little girls and glitter? Its hilarious! Also can I say I love that you have an emergency stash of presents. You are a genius superwoman.

I’m so behind already!
Milasmama - So glad to see you back, and that all is well with baby boy! Any answers yet on the bleeding? I’m sure that’s unnerving. [name_f]My[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] was also tied (both tongue and lip), but we didn’t get a diagnosis until 4 months, so I EP’d and she never learned to latch. [name_m]Martin[/name_m]'s latch is finally starting to improve, 4 weeks post revision and after a few sessions of CST. I’m still blistered, but I think they’re starting to heal I hope things get better for you very quickly, mama!
[name_f]Katie[/name_f] - Your girls are adorable. I can’t believe how alike they look.
[name_f]Frances[/name_f] - I’m so glad that your in-laws’ visit went well. I’m with you on hating the hinting around garbage. [name_m]Just[/name_m] use your big girl words, [name_f]MIL[/name_f]!
Greci - So glad that you and your boys are all healthy and doing well.
Aaand, I’ll have to come back later! Breastfeeding is going better here, but the six week growth spurt is in full swing and I’ve had a 12 lb baby hanging off the front of me all day long… now that he’s off, and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is finally asleep, I think I’ll go do something productive. You know, like use the bathroom. Alone.
Arg! It’s my due date today. No sign of this one moving. I’ve been booked for an induction on [name_f]April[/name_f] 9th just in case. I’m walking briskly up big hills tomorrow, eating hot curries and bathing in [name_f]Clarey[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] was 11 days late… And this blossom is still right up in my ribs, no hint of engagement!
Hello all!
Cuddling in the glider with [name_u]Jem[/name_u] right now! I can’t put my finger on it but I don’t think he is feeling well! Starting sat night his cry changed - sounds lower and deeper, and terribly pitiful! Yesterday and today he has been so fussy all day long, and develops that sad little cry every night! He has been stuffy the past week or so, so maybe a worsening cold? Also I started a round of antibiotics for a UTI on [name_m]Saturday[/name_m], so maybe it’s upsetting his system? OR he also had thrush so maybe it’s that medicine upsetting him? Gosh it’s so frustrating when he can’t tell me what’s wrong! And it’s making me incredibly anxious to not know what’s going on! [name_f]My[/name_f] heart is just crushed when I hear that cry!!
He had a well baby visit scheduled for tomorrow, but I’m bringing him in today too just to be on the safe side!

tuitree - Sending you “less than 11 days over” vibes. I would lose my mind! [name_m]Both[/name_m] of mine have been early, and it makes me wonder if I could mentally handle making it to my [name_m]EDD[/name_m] if we had a third
babylove - No fun at all. Not being able to pinpoint what is making your baby hurt or sad is probably the worst part of mothering a little one.
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] - Hooray for a low key party! That play dough looks good enough to eat! Did you use food coloring? I’ve only made it once with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], and the combination of whole wheat flour and grape koolaid made for a less than appetizing gray that not even glitter could have salvaged. At least it smelled good?

Quick check in again! [name_m]Just[/name_m] got home from the dr. [name_f]Happy[/name_f] to find out nothing seemed particularly wrong with [name_u]Jem[/name_u]! She said the medicine for thrush can make babies fussy. The antibiotics I am ok could be doing it. He could have a teensy bit if a cold. She also discussed reflux as a possibility. Although he doesn’t spit up much which makes me a little skeptical. So the plan is to see how he does this week after the medicines are all through with. I’m just glad nothing is seriously wrong! Yay!
Babylove glad to hear there’s nothing wrong with [name_u]Jem[/name_u]. Unfortunately there are times when you feel your playing a weird experimentation game trying to figure them out, it seems unfair to be guessing but it’s how it works. Lots and lots of singing, rocking, and going outside turned to face the word was helping [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] through fussy periods in those early days. Good luck.
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and Tk theimaginationtree.com has loads of playdough recipes. I use the no cook one see here: Mini Melbournites: Playing play-dough as it feels safer not to be stirring dough on a hot stove with a toddler in tow and it lasts forever. I still have this batch in my fridge over a month later and it seems fine.
Your glittery stuff looks fabulous though [name_f]Sara[/name_f]. I think the birthday party you described sounds awesome. Parents go ott sometimes and I don’t think the kids (at least the younger ones) care if they have a petting zoo or not as long as they have plenty of play time with all their friends.
Still waiting…
I havent kept up here at all but congratulations to all the mommies. [name_m]Just[/name_m] wanted to pop in and say my due date was [name_u]March[/name_u] 30th and we had our baby girl early yesterday morning ([name_f]April[/name_f] first). Her name is [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] Thank you for all your help/advice on the name and good luck with your babies! :p:p
Congratulation [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] is a beautiful name.
She’s here. [name_m]Born[/name_m] 5 [name_f]April[/name_f].
Her name is Zari [name_f]Pania[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f], we had a scarily quick birth, less than 2 hours from deciding we would go to the hospital but might be sent home, to babies arrival.
Big sister [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Alba[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is being amazing with her!
Congrats [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and tuitree on your babies’ arrival! And you guys picked such great names!!
Tuitree - [name_f]Glad[/name_f] [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] is doing well with Zari. 2 hours?! That is fast! Did you dilate really quick once you got there or did you not know that you were dilated that far along? [name_f]Hope[/name_f] you are healing well!
Congrats [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]!
Tuitree - wow that WAS fast! Congrats! Did she look like a Zari the moment you saw her? I know you were kind of waiting to see if [name_f]Zara[/name_f] would click
Bex I was 8cm already when they checked. [name_f]My[/name_f] contractions were all over the place, 2min apart, then 10 then 5 and ranged in intensity too but fast was good, no time to think only to do!!
TK it took us over 12 hours to decide. She didn’t ‘fit’ any of our suggestions untill DH suggested Zari. It’s growing on me more and more each day. She can still be my little [name_f]Zsazsa[/name_f] and my sister pointed out her initials will be ZB - Zeebee or [name_f]Zibby[/name_f] which is also super cute.
[name_m]How[/name_m] is [name_m]Mars[/name_m]'s feeding going? And I’m sure [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is now at the point where she can’t remember life without him. I hope so. We’re not due home till [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] morning so I hope [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] still has as much love for bubba when she realizes she’s staying for good!
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] how’s Daisys tummy. Zari seems to get cranky after every feed and needs a lot of winding… With [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] I was a bit slack at burping and she was never bothered so have to get my head around that. But other than that all good.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] everyone else is doing well… Livening these baby soft cuddles. Gotta lap up this precious time before we get home to hurricane [name_f]Ayla[/name_f]!!
Hello all! I haven’t been on here for so long - I’ve been overloaded with settling in with our boys Thought I’d give you a little update.
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] will be 12 weeks old on Thursday, and both are doing really well. We had a few complications with [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] a week after his birth when we noticed a bluish tinge on his face and discovered that has a congenital heart disorder known as transposition of the great arteries (his aorta and pulmonary are swapped).
We are unsure as to whether this heart condition is a result of his situs inversus or is unconnected, but we do know that it has also caused him to suffer from another condition of the heart called an atrial septal defect (hole between two heart atriums). These complications meant [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] had to return to hospital at three weeks old for further tests, during which the doctors concluded that an operation would be best for him.
[name_u]Freddie[/name_u] underwent his operation a fortnight ago, at 10 weeks old. I’m so relieved to be able to tell you it went well, he was discharged from hospital on [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], and he is at home and thriving The doctors have said he will need to attend regular check ups until his second or third birthday, and we’ll see what happens from there.
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is also doing well, he and his brother now both have thick tufts of blond hair and are looking very like their Dad!
Congratulations to all the new mummies, hope you’re all doing well. Hopefully I’ll have a bit more time to post now [name_u]Freddie[/name_u]'s out of hospital. [name_u]Love[/name_u] to you all x

Tuitree - I’m glad your labor was quick And 12 hours isn’t bad for deciding. [name_u]Love[/name_u] all of those nickname possibilities!
bab - I’m sorry to hear about your [name_u]Freddie[/name_u]'s challenges, but happy to hear he’s recovering well. Hopefully things will get easier for you from here!
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] - YUCK! I wass bummed about multiple rounds of colds here, but I’ll take that over 4 puking kids (plus myself) any day! I hope your crew is 100% soon.
I can’t believe that this little monkey is 7 weeks today. It’s flying by in a blur!
tuitree - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] Zari. Very cool choice. And ZeeBee? Cuuute.
babtr1ll - Oh wow, that sounds so stressful! Can’t imagine going through all that while having the other little one to take care of too. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] its smooth sailing from here on out.
sarah - Disgusting! Its hard to be a mom when you’re sick. We got over our Norwalk pretty quickly (and [name_f]Indira[/name_f] didn’t catch it at all) but those couple days were brutal for me & Azula! I feel for you. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] to hear [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is doing better, and that she didn’t catch whatever bug you had.
I am feeling so restless lately. [name_u]Corey[/name_u] has been pushing me to start working again since he can stay home on parental leave, so I have been to a few interviews & and am picking up shifts at my old work here and there. Part of me is happy to get out of the house & have something to do & part of me hates it. I don’t want to leave [name_f]Indira[/name_f] at home yet, I don’t want to have to pump all the time & worry whether she’s taking a bottle or not while I’m out. Plus I am still dealing with some body issues (I know I know, just let it go) due to leftover pregnancy flub, so some days I just [name_m]DON[/name_m]'T want to wear real clothes - just let me sit here in my PJs all day. I am also itching to clean & decorate & get in the garden & do things & its really frustrating having to prioritize financially & put all that stuff on the back burner. So I’m spending my days prowling around dying to [name_f]DO[/name_f] things and then wanting to be home when I actually have things to do.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] you all are enjoying your downtime with your little ones because I am officially driving myself crazy here.
