Having my last “quiet” week here. After three appointments last week, I’d also have three doctor appointments next week. Then move on to weekly visit (yep, a month sooner).
I had a smaller, early shower at the start of third trimester. At first I thought it might be too soon and unfortunately some people couldn’t make it, but now I’m glad cause apparently I was about to be distracted by a bunch of other things like this.
@krikit glad to hear you’re doing well with the diet-controlled GD. I’m 6 weeks behind you and still struggling with the changes.
And wow, finally 37 weeks! Not that long anymore till the first baby in this group will be born. Good luck with everything.
@hvnewton aww happy to hear you got the stuffs you want from the registry. Over the door storage sounds like a smart idea!
@pacifica thanks, girl. I know it’s temporary, I just hope I don’t have to deal with it again in the future. It’s not guaranteed but still there’s a chance I will, which is frustrating.
Sounds like you have a pretty solid plan already. It’s definitely wiser to keep [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] in your bedroom for a bit longer in that case and have his own ready in the new house eventually.
@Maerad why are you convinced you’d be late? I used to think so too, but that’s because before ultrasound confirms my due date I thought it was going to be over a week later. Now I’m thinking I might go a bit “early” at 38/39 weeks instead. I guess we’ll see lol.
Our current plan is to keep baby in our bedroom for maybe 3 months. I’m totally open to the idea of keeping him there longer, but my husband isn’t a big fan lol, plus the space issue. We bought a crib (for his nursery) and gifted a pack n play with a bassinet on top of it at the baby shower (might use it in our room).
His nursery was previously a storage room and to make the conversion happens we had to move some stuffs and store them at family/friend’s. Obviously a temporary solution. We’ve been planning to get a bigger place, but that keeps getting postponed thanks to the fun housing market. Fingers crossed we could find the right house sometime next year.
