I am 21 weeks pregnant with my third baby. We are not finding out the sex of this baby, but we already have two sons, [name_u]Enzi[/name_u] and [name_u]Jemmy[/name_u] (James).
I am super lost on boys names especially since we have already used our two favorite boys names and I am struggling to find something that “fits” with both of our names so far. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband is [name_u]East[/name_u] African and I am American, so we want something that both families will be able to easily pronounce. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband is also big on name meanings so outright negative meaning definitely do not pass his veto! Nothing is really sticking so far! The only names we have got on our list are [name_u]Leo[/name_u], [name_m]Silas[/name_m] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] (nn Nico). If I had to name the baby today it would probably be [name_m]Silas[/name_m], but it still just doesn’t quite feel right. I am hoping to bring 2-3 top contenders for each gender to the hospital and name baby after we meet them.
I feel like I have watched every baby name video on youtube and gone over every name list and nothing is grabbing me.
What suggestions do you have that “fit” with our sons names and I may not have thought of? I would also prefer to avoid shared initials - so avoiding E and J names!
Congrats on [name_u]Baby[/name_u] #3! Being unfamiliar with the sounds native to the language of your husband’s family, I will attempt to suggest names with syllables and combinations that are common cross-linguistically.
I do really like Orion(was already on our list as a middle name), Luca/Lucas, [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Alec[/name_m], [name_m]Ruben[/name_m] and [name_m]Zane[/name_m]. I am just not sure most of them feel right for us/our family, but I did add [name_m]Zane[/name_m] to our list of possible contenders!
