[name_m]Three[/name_m] people including myself seemed to be interested, and that’s enough for me!
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]In[/name_m] [name_m]Baby[/name_m] a [name_f]Day[/name_f][name_f][/name_f], you name a baby, sometimes several, every day (or every day that you’re on Nameberry anyway). [name_m]You[/name_m] name them and post them here with all their older “siblings”.
[name_f][/name_f]And that’s about all the rules I want to give you. [name_m]You[/name_m] can choose to name only boys, or to pick the gender on a whim each day, to only have boy-girl-twins or not to have twins at all [name_f][/name_f] – it’s [name_m]Baby[/name_m] a [name_f]Day[/name_f] after all, not Birth a [name_f]Day[/name_f] – or to use a random generator.
[name_f][/name_f]For myself I’m going to roll physical percentage dice and apply my usual rules: 50% boy, 49% girl, 1% nb, 2% of births turn into twins, 2% of twins into triplets and so on.
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]The[/name_m] original had you roll two six-sided dice: bigger number even means girl, bigger number odd means boy, odd same numbers are twins, even same numbers are triplets. This yields 58% girl, 42% boy, 8% twins, 8% triplets. and yes I simulated that just now because I’m entirely too lazy to use my brain
I consider this an experiment to see what we do when we reach the end of out lists. Reuse names? Invent new ones? [name_m]Go[/name_m] wild with the GPs? [name_f]Or[/name_f] does our taste change fast enough that we never actually run out?
[name_f][/name_f](I actually found several existing [name_m]Baby[/name_m] a [name_f]Day[/name_f] threads, but all of them abandoned and some linking to random generators that don’t work any more. As much as I’m a fan of keeping old threads in use, I like the fresh start with this one.)
[name_f][/name_f](Also someone please tell me if this would be better suited for the [name_m]Games[/name_m] section and I’ll move it)
And now let’s gooo! I’ll consider today [name_f]Day[/name_f] 0 and my RL daughter today’s baby:
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]
day 0: R. M.
[name_f][/name_f]1 girl, 0 boys, 0 enbies, 1 baby total
