@Kibby I love [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] and [name_f]Odessa[/name_f]! Am I correct in remembering that your partner has Ukrainian heritage? [name_f]Odessa[/name_f] would be a nice homage to that. I love [name_m]Phillip[/name_m], but I have never liked [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] quite as much mostly because I think I stumble over the pronunciation.
@_thelittlefairywren my husband and his 4 siblings all came early and big! The last baby topped out well over 10 pounds. [name_f]My[/name_f] sisters and I all came late and very average sized, so we will see! So far baby has measured average to a little bit big. Well, technically he measured in the 94th percentile at our anatomy scan but they were using the due date that is 5 days off, and the doctor said using the correct due date he was measuring just a little above the 50th percentile.
I am thinking that if (hopefully when) we have a second baby I am going to strongly consider not finding out the sex. Most people are nice and lovely, but some people have had some not very nice comments about the baby being a boy (one coworker immediately said “did you cry like I did when I found out I was having a boy?”) and if we have another boy I think that would bother me even more than it is now. If the baby has already arrived I would hope people would watch their comments a little more, although who knows.
