Eek wishing you all the best with this journey
Not expecting, but congrats! That is a really exciting guess date [name_f][/name_f]- even the year they’re born in will be up in the air!
It’s been a while, so I thought I’d update! I’m 6w5d, still 2 weeks away from my first OB appointment, but definitely feeling the symptoms— nausea being the worst of them. I went to a minute clinic out of some desperation and ended up with a prescription for promethazine to help with feeling nauseous. I’ve never been such a picky eater in my life!
We’ve decided not to share the news with anyone until I’m out of (or at least ALMOST out of) the first trimester. I think we have a few suspicious family members, but we don’t want to tell everyone too quickly. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are having lots of fun deciding how we’ll tell everyone!
[name_f][/name_f]Still hoping for some more folks in this thread— please jump in!
@inmylife[name_f][/name_f] Many congratulations! The nausea is awful, you have my sympathies. I hope the medication brings some relief
I was in two minds about sharing so early but I am cautiously joining you! About 6 weeks with #5[name_f][/name_f]. Due date probably mid-Jan sometime, but due to slightly complicated reasons I am not 100% sure when. I doubt I will have my first appointment for several weeks. Also feeling rough with nausea and a little overwhelmed but happy to be here.
Oh goodness congratulations [name_f]Emma[/name_f]! Wishing you and the others in this thread all the best!
Congratulations to both of you!
!!!
[name_f][/name_f]Congratulations
[name_f][/name_f]!!!
I have to pop in and say congratulations to you! I joined the site shortly before S was born, and I’ve always adored your littles’ names. Excited to see what you pick for this one
And @inmylife[name_f][/name_f] many congratulations to you, too! A 1/1 due date is so fun.
@katinka[name_f][/name_f] Oh that’s so exciting! Congratulations!! [name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f] I hope the nausea settles for you soon.
Congratulations to you both!
[name_f][/name_f]I’m tentatively joining you in this thread. I finally got our first positive after 13 months! We’re very excited and hope baby sticks [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]My[/name_f] app is estimating 6 weeks today, due at the end of [name_m]Jan[/name_m]. We don’t plan on telling anyone until we have had our 12 week scan
[name_m]Welcome[/name_m] and congratulations, @katinka[name_f][/name_f] and @Hello1[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]9 weeks exactly today. [name_m]Just[/name_m] had my first OB appointment (ever!) yesterday, we were told not to expect an ultrasound but lucked out on availability and got to have one anyway! [name_f]Baby[/name_f] is currently very gummy-bear shaped [name_f][/name_f] so reassuring to hear a strong heartbeat as well. Equally reassuring to find out we’re only having ONE. I still can’t believe baby is big enough to see.
Next appointment is 2 weeks out, we’ll expect to do some more blood tests to make sure all is well so far.
Unfortunately I will be leaving this group as this baby did not stick [name_f][/name_f] hopefully we’ll have some luck soon.
[name_f][/name_f]Best of luck to everyone else
I realized it has been a while, so I thought I’d make another update.
[name_f][/name_f]This is the last week of my first trimester! We were fortunate to have access to NIPT testing with all typical results a few weeks back, and we now know the sex of the baby as well! We’re keeping the sex and the likely name to ourselves for now, especially because we’ve started sharing the news of the pregnancy with our friends and family. LOTS of excited grandparents, great grandparents, aunts and uncles over here!
[name_f][/name_f]I just made my first inquiry with a daycare today and felt only a little silly doing it [name_f][/name_f] It’s starting to get real!
Congratulations @inmylife[name_f][/name_f]! I’m glad to hear you are doing well and everyone is happy and excited
I had my first scan last week and all looked good [name_f][/name_f]— now 12+1 with an EDD of 14 [name_m]Jan[/name_m]. We don’t have NIPT here as standard so we won’t find out the sex until 20w scan. I think girl, husband thinks boy!
[name_f][/name_f]We have started tentative name discussions and I sense it’s going to be a struggle this time around… We have used or ruled out so many names for one reason or another.
Quick update while I’m here— we’re 19 weeks in, anatomy scan scheduled for next [name_f]Monday[/name_f]. Very excited and anxious to see baby again [name_f][/name_f] I’m officially at the point of feeling kicks, specifically the kind where I’m 100% sure it’s the baby. Might have a pro soccer player on our hands here. Ow.
Sometimes I’m not sure if I’m really noticing much of a bump yet, but I just found my first pair of pants that don’t fit anymore, so I guess it’s coming along!
[name_f][/name_f]We’re working toward closing on a house right now, which means we’ll hopefully have room for a nursery soon. Current thoughts are mostly of yellow paint and garden-y decorations, but trying to remember to prioritize function over form. Working on a registry.
[name_f][/name_f]@katinka[name_f][/name_f] I hope you’re doing well! How’s the naming process?
@inmylife[name_f][/name_f] That’s so exciting, good luck on the house! This feels like a perfect stage of pregnancy to be moving at; I hope your nausea has improved by now and the energetic stage has kicked in
I am finally feeling much better, although still randomly being sick a couple of times a week when extra-tired or after eating certain foods. No definite kicks yet (17 weeks) but I know placement of the placenta can affect that.
[name_f][/name_f]We have batted around some name ideas (I can’t resist!) and definitely have some favourites, but we’ll find out the sex at the 20w scan end of [name_m]August[/name_m] so we’re not getting too bogged down in it until then. Exciting that you’ll get to see baby again on [name_f]Monday[/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]I haven’t been able to do much exercise at all due to the sickness and finally went back to one of my sports clubs yesterday, only to go over on my ankle quite badly within about 5 mins [name_f][/name_f] I limped on so I am sure it’s not seriously injured but wow does it hurt today! I think a day of frozen peas and Netflix awaits…
There isn’t a due date thread for me yet, I just found out I’m pregnant again. About 4 weeks. This is my 5th pregnancy but this will hopefully become my 2nd born. [name_f]My[/name_f] most recent loss was [name_f]May[/name_f] of this year. I feel hopeful about this one. Like it may actually stick this time. I’ll be due around mid [name_f]April[/name_f] but most likely will deliver early because of cholestasis. I had it with my daughter and she had to come early, and there’s a pretty high reoccurrence rate so I’m just preparing myself.
Congratulations! I’m sorry to hear about your previous losses and I’m sending you all best wishes for this pregnancy
Thank you. I feel good about this one!
