We are thrilled to be expecting our third son, but are fresh out of names. Our other sons’ names are uncommon and directly honor family members and we’d like #3 to do the same. Any ideas for how to combine/build on these family names to compliment older brothers [name_m]Harris[/name_m] and [name_m]Winston[/name_m] ([name_u]Win[/name_u])…
[name_u]Gray[/name_u] - love but wondering if it’s too similar to [name_m]Grayson[/name_m], which is common among friends
[name_m]Robert[/name_m] - a bit common, but maybe there is a modern twist?
[name_u]Reed[/name_u] - common among friends, but could be good as a middle
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m] - really prefer [name_m]Louie[/name_m] but is that a proper first name?
Of your list, I like [name_m]Robert[/name_m] and [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] (maybe [name_m]Louis[/name_m])
[name_m]Robert[/name_m] has really fallen on the list last few years and has great nn [name_m]Rob[/name_m], [name_m]Bob[/name_m], [name_m]Rab[/name_m], [name_u]Bert[/name_u], [name_f]Ro[/name_f]
I like [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_u]Reed[/name_u]. An alternative to [name_m]Robert[/name_m] could be [name_u]Robin[/name_u]. [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] also works.
Thanks for the feedback! We agree, we want to work [name_m]Robert[/name_m] in there somewhere, but had another idea recently. We’d also like to honor the family name [name_f]Marie[/name_f], but took it off the table for a boy. Then it occurred to us, what about [name_u]Murray[/name_u] as a male twist?
[name_u]Murray[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m]?
We think it goes well with brothers, [name_m]Harris[/name_m] and [name_m]Winston[/name_m]. What do you all think?
