Baby boy name Caimin?

We have one son named Aiven and another boy on the way that we want the same unique, simple name for. Our last name is O’[name]Leary[/name]. What do you think of Caimin O’[name]Leary[/name]? (said like [name]Cayman[/name] as in [name]Cayman[/name] Islands-where he was conceived). It is a real name - Irish but very, very uncommon. Thanks for your input.

I like Caimin. It’s nice.

Perfection!

It sounds like caiman, which is a species of animal closely related to the crocodile and alligator. That makes it very strange to me. Also, no offence, but your son may not appreciate being named after the place he was conceived, even with a different spelling.

It would not be my personal choice, but I would say use it since it is a legitimate Irish name.

I’m glad you Caimin, why don’t you sit down and have a cup of tea?

Yeah, sorry, it just sounds like “came in” to me. I wouldn’t appreciate my parents naming me after where I was conceived either. Not something I would want to know.

I like it! Although I’m not that keen of Aiven and Caimin together because they both end in an N. Also I’m just wondering how you pronounce Aiven?

Aiven is said with a long a and ven rhyming with the popular one now that is [name]Aiden[/name]. I wouldn’t tell people or him about the conceive part if we did but it has significance to my husband and I.
Any other name suggestions?
