My husband and I are expecting a baby boy in [name_f]February[/name_f] and are really loving the name [name_f]Noa[/name_f] (it’d be pronounced like [name_u]NOAH[/name_u] just spelled differently). We chose it because we wanted a name that had a connection with my husband’s grandfather but we didn’t want to give the baby his first name. [name_f]NOA[/name_f] are his grandfather’s initials. Anyway, After researching its meaning I realized that it’s a feminine name and now am debating on changing it completely, adding the H or just moving it to a middle name. What do you guys think?
I really like the family connection and honoring intention here, but think the spelling could be somewhat problematic. To keep the honoring intention, I would add the H or otherwise modify the name. You could use a name with the same letters in it-- [name_m]Nolan[/name_m], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_m]Donovan[/name_m], [name_m]Jonah[/name_m], [name_m]Leon[/name_m]/[name_m]Leonard[/name_m], [name_m]Norman[/name_m], or [name_m]Ronald[/name_m] might work. Or, you could use 2 names with the letters in them-- [name_u]Noel[/name_u] [name_m]Adam[/name_m], [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] or something like this.
I would just spell it [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
[name_m]Just[/name_m] use [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
