Baby boy name: Jair _____

We are having the hardest time coming up with a middle name that goes with [name]Jair[/name] (pronounced, [name]Jai[/name]-ear). We prefer something Biblical…

Would [name]Jair[/name] [name]Eliam[/name] sound weird? Anyone have a better suggestion??

[name]Jair[/name] [name]Ephraim[/name]
[name]Jair[/name] [name]Elihu[/name]

Thanks for the suggestions!

Amri might be perfect! If anyone has more suggestions though would love to hear them…

[name]Happy[/name] [name]Valentine[/name]'s day to everyone!

One more suggestion:

[name]Jair[/name] [name]Omri[/name]

Nevermind, [name]Omri[/name]/Amri won’t work

Unless there is another Amri, in the Bible, the only spelling I’ve located is [name]Omri[/name], and according to 1 Kings 16:25, “[name]Omri[/name] wrought evil in the eyes of the [name]Lord[/name] and did worse than all that were before him!”

Anyone have any other ideas?

[name]Jair[/name] [name]Abraham[/name]
[name]Jair[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name]
[name]Jair[/name] [name]David[/name]
[name]Jair[/name] [name]Daniel[/name]

[name]Jair[/name] [name]Abram[/name]
[name]Jair[/name] [name]Seth[/name]

New Ideas

[name]Amzi[/name] I Chronicles 6:31, means “my strength or strong”.

He was a Levite man ie of the tribe of [name]Levi[/name] who were priests.

[name]Areli[/name] [name]Genesis[/name] 46:16, Numbers 26:17

Arnan who was the father of [name]Obadiah[/name]

[name]Hi[/name] momma what do you think of the latest suggestions?

[name]Amzi[/name] is cool. My husband and I will look into that one tonight.

If we have to settle for a “normal” middle name haha it’ll probably end up being [name]Jair[/name] [name]David[/name].

Also, what do you all think of spelling: J with its Hebrew roots can be written as a Y. Also, the separation of consonents could leave it with 2 "i"s.

Yaiir
Jaiir
[name]Jair[/name]
[name]Yair[/name]

What do you all think is the best? We were leaning toward Yaiir, but worry his teachers will always misspell it with a J, anyhow, so maybe its better to just put the J there from the beginning… With the 2 "i"s is it confusing to the reader?

I think that Yaiir is better because it makes more sense to pronounce. Yaiir [name]David[/name] is nice.

[name]Do[/name] you think people will understand that even though its spelled with a Y, its pronounced with a “j” sound?

I would never work that one out, I think it will be hard enough for people to understand to say the soft “J” sound instead of the hard one as in [name]James[/name] without confusing them further.

btw I just love the name [name]David[/name] and its meaning.
