Aloha from [name_m]Hawaii[/name_m]! [name_u]Baby[/name_u] will be born next month and am trying to think of names! We all like the name [name_u]Kai[/name_u] but can’t think of a middle name to go with it! Any help?
So far, we are thinking about:
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Noah[/name_u]
Any others? What do you think of that one?
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] is beautiful but [name_u]Kai[/name_u] seems nicknamey (also if you ever go to [name_m]New[/name_m] Zealand [name_u]Kai[/name_u] is maori for food. I don’t know how you feel about that).
I think [name_u]Kai[/name_u] is a great name and can stand on it’s own. [name_u]Love[/name_u] that it means sea in Hawaiian. Since you are from [name_m]Hawaii[/name_m] I don’t think other meanings of [name_u]Kai[/name_u] will matter too much at all. I think [name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is a great combo too. [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is the number 1 name in popularity in the U.S. right now. It is a great name but it is something to note. Is there someone you would like to honor in the middle spot or do you want a biblical name like [name_u]Noah[/name_u] or just something that flows well together? Since [name_u]Kai[/name_u] is short I think longer names would work in the middle too. [name_m]Just[/name_m] some ideas:
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Benedict[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Jameson[/name_u]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
These are all quite traditional middles but if you want something more personal, certain origin, meaning, and/ or unique just let us know! Aloha and blessings to you!
I like [name_u]Kai[/name_u]; it makes me think of surfing and just the ocean in general. I would imagine a [name_u]Kai[/name_u] to be friendly and laid-back.
Btw, have you considered Kainoa nn [name_u]Kai[/name_u]? I’m not too fond of [name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Noah[/name_u] as a combo, but I think that’s because I feel that it should be Kainoa.
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] (this was my first thought)
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Leopold[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Desmond[/name_m]
Thanks so much for the replies! One reason why I was thinking of [name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is because of the name “Kainoa.” I love Kainoa, but my husband prefers [name_u]Kai[/name_u]. Using [name_u]Noah[/name_u] as the middle name would still allow me to call him “Kainoa” at times, if I wanted.
However I wasn’t sure if that seemed odd.
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is lovely! I love the Hawaiian meaning of [name_u]Kai[/name_u] too
Would love more opinions!
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Vance[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Slade[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Hawthorn[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Orson[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] goes with so many names! If [name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is the one for you and helps compromise with the other name, I say it’s great!
I like [name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Noah[/name_u]!
A few ideas
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Dawson[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Logan[/name_u]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Thayer[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_m]Jaxson[/name_m]
I love the name [name_u]Kai[/name_u], especially with him being born in [name_m]Hawaii[/name_m] and near the water! Also love [name_m]Koa[/name_m] as a boy’s name and that sort of blends similar sounds and Hawaiian background as [name_u]Kai[/name_u] [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
