My husband and I are having trouble agreeing on a name. As of right now he voided all of the names i love, [name]Connor[/name], [name]Jonas[/name], [name]Peyton[/name], [name]Wesley[/name] and [name]Weston[/name].
The ones he loves are [name]Henry[/name], [name]Drew[/name], and [name]Patrick[/name]. The only one I like out of his names is [name]Patrick[/name]. But I don’t love it.
What do you guys think about the name [name]Patrick[/name]?

I actually love the name [name]Patrick[/name] but I agree with [name]Jill[/name] that there are other Irish names that are more stylish. I also love [name]Henry[/name]. [name]Henry[/name] is amazing.
Maybe he would like [name]William[/name] nn [name]Liam[/name]. That way you get classic mixed with something fun and Irish.
Maybe a good compromise would be [name]Jack[/name]. Almost everybody likes that name. But it is very popular.
I love the names [name]Peter[/name], [name]Philip[/name], [name]Thomas[/name], [name]Nicholas[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Theodore[/name], and [name]James[/name]. You can look up classic names that your husband likes and see if there are International versions of the names that both of you like.

Of the 8 names you mentioned [name]Patrick[/name] is FAR and away my favorite. Others might call him [name]Pat[/name] but you can always call him [name]Patrick[/name].
I think it’s a wonderful name, handsome. Along with [name]Jack[/name] it’s the only other “common” name I’m considering for my son. But I completely sympathize if you don’t love the name. I’m learning how how it is to give up on a name when my husband vetoes a name I love.
Never like [name]Henry[/name]. Timeless to the point of being boring. Also, always hated and never understood the nickname [name]Hank[/name].

I happen to love the name [name]Patrick[/name], do not like [name]Pat[/name] as a nickname or [name]Rick[/name].
I know a little boy named [name]Patrick[/name] and they call him “Patch” for short…I think that’s really cute and even “cooler” when he’s older.
I think [name]Patrick[/name] can be a handsome name, I just don’t think the nicknames like [name]Pat[/name], etc. are good. My fiance’s brother’s name is [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Shane[/name]. Everyone calls him [name]Pat[/name] at one point or another, even though he hates it, it just comes out b/c of the name.
I like the idea of Patch as a nickname … very cute.
