[name]Hi[/name]! We have two sons, [name]Zachary[/name] Woods (nn [name]Zach[/name]) and [name]Quinton[/name] [name]James[/name] (nn [name]Quinn[/name]). [name]Baby[/name] boy #3 is on the way. We have a short list of names we love, but some have some quirks we need help working out. Any input is appreciated!
[name]Isaac[/name] - does the ending of this name sound to similar to [name]Zach[/name]? We may use the nn [name]Ike[/name], but does it sound like we have two sons with kind of the same name if we have an [name]Isaac[/name] and a [name]Zach[/name]?
[name]Beckett[/name] - if we use nn [name]Beck[/name] does that sound to similar to [name]Zach[/name]?
[name]Lucian[/name] (nn [name]Luke[/name]) - I think it sounds great with [name]Zachary[/name] and [name]Quinn[/name], but is [name]Luke[/name] too common?
[name]Alexander[/name] (nn [name]Alex[/name]) - our last name starts with a “Z”. [name]Alex[/name] blends right into the Z sound of our last name when said out loud. I don’t know if that flows well, but I do like the name.
I like [name]Zach[/name] and [name]Quinn[/name], they’re nice names and work well together!
I agree that [name]Isaac[/name] and [name]Zachary[/name] (especially nickname [name]Zach[/name]) are too close. [name]Ike[/name]'s cool, but I just couldn’t do [name]Isaac[/name] & [name]Zach[/name] together. [name]Beckett[/name] nicknamed [name]Beck[/name] goes great with your other boys names, and I definately do not think [name]Zach[/name] and [name]Beck[/name] are too close. They make great brothers, actually. [name]Lucian[/name] ‘[name]Luke[/name]’ is another great option for you. [name]Luke[/name] is about as popular as [name]Zachary[/name]/[name]Zach[/name], atleast in my area, so thats not an issue. I like [name]Alexander[/name] ‘[name]Alex[/name]’ with your other kids, but if it runs into your lastname, I’d stay away from it.
When you say all three boys names, you’ll probably name them in birth order, so [name]Quinn[/name] being in the middle will break up [name]Zack[/name]/[name]Luke[/name] or [name]Zack[/name]/[name]Beck[/name]. I’d see no problem using either.
