While I do agree that [name]Buddy[/name] [name]Bear[/name] is the worst celebrity baby name (not forgetting [name]Vince[/name] [name]Vaughan[/name]'s [name]Locklyn[/name] which should have made the list), I like some of the names on this list. In my opinion, there’s nothing wrong with [name]Abel[/name], [name]Cosima[/name] or [name]Vida[/name]. One name on the best list that I’m not too crazy about is [name]Aviana[/name] [name]Olea[/name]. I know [name]Aviana[/name] is actually a name but it still looks made up and [name]Aviana[/name] [name]Olea[/name] are too cutesy together. [name]Olea[/name] reminds me of Oli of [name]Olay[/name]. One omission on the best list that should have been included is [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Hayes[/name].

And I agree- [name]Locklyn[/name] [name]Kyla[/name] definitely should have made the list. [name]Nelson[/name] isn’t stylish, but it was given for a significant reason (I believe after [name]Nelson[/name] [name]Mandela[/name], who [name]Celine[/name] [name]Dion[/name] has met), and [name]Eddie[/name] is also honoring someone important to the family’s life. I don’t think names like that can ever be classified as bad because they’re so meaningful, but they were on Nameberry’s worst too so maybe I’m alone on that. I’m with them for [name]Billie[/name], [name]Krishna[/name], [name]Egypt[/name], and [name]Buddy[/name], though.
As for the best list, it seems they only allowed names on there if they approached the top of the popularity list. They’re all nice names, but not too many terribly interesting ones. [name]Grace[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] is lovely and classic, as is [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Marie[/name] and [name]Levi[/name] [name]James[/name], but they’re a tad boring. Very boring, actually. [name]Easton[/name] is a great name, and [name]Aviana[/name] is far less trendy than it appears- it was after [name]Amy[/name] [name]Adams[/name]’ birthplace, Aviano, [name]Italy[/name].
I like [name]Harper[/name], [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]James[/name], but the name combinations are just OK to me. [name]Bryn[/name] is cute, but the baby’s full name is [name]Bryn[/name] [name]Casey[/name] (not sure about the spelling) Hoppy, which is too cutesy for me, as is [name]Aviana[/name] [name]Olea[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t get me wrong, I just don’t think they’re the best celeb baby names of 2010. I’m just wondering because the inclusion of [name]Krishna[/name] as a “worst” is pretty disturbing, especially since [name]Padma[/name]'s [name]Indian[/name]. :roll: But given some of the message board posts I read over there when I was pregnant, that kind of xenophobia on that site unfortunately doesn’t surprise me.
