I’m not sure if we will go for number 4, but I love brainstorming in case we do. After three girls we are both out of inspiration though. Our girls are
We clearly have a theme of second letter E last letter A going. It wasn’t intentional, but I like it and am not sure if we should keep it. What would you name our 4th girl?
Names that fit your theme:
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Geneva[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicia[/name_f]
[name_f]Belinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Melinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Nerissa[/name_f]
Leonora
Leona
Bella
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] names! I’d keep the theme going a bit, but not worry about it too much-- fitting in with the style seems more important. Staying away from -EA or -[name_f]ENA[/name_f] sounding endings will help the names not to rhyme.
Some other possibilities:
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], and
I’m loving [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] and [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and my husband really likes it, but I hate how similar it is to [name_f]Emma[/name_f].
Gosh, this is one of my favorite sibsets ever. All of your girls have beautiful, feminine, vintage names, with such great style. The pattern within the names is subtle enough to be missed without being pointed out, but to lend a cohesive feeling to the names. I think if it’s possible to find a name you love that suits the pattern, great, but if you love something that doesn’t, don’t sweat it. From previous posts, I love [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f], and [name_f]Irene[/name_f]. With that in mind, my suggestions are…
[name_f]Irina[/name_f]: Much like [name_f]Irene[/name_f], but that “a” at the end helps match it with your other daughters and gives it that regal, ethereal pop. [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], and [name_f]Irina[/name_f].
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]: Another exquisite vintage name, with a great meaning and timeless sound, but it might be too close to [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f].
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f]: One of my favorites for you. Gentle but solid, historical and literary just like your other daughters, and compatible without being matchy.
[name_f]Renata[/name_f]: A lovely rarity that fits your pattern and contains many of the sounds you seem to gravitate towards.
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]: The strong repeating sounds and vintage feel of this name immediately drew me to it for you.
[name_f]Adele[/name_f]/[name_f]Adela[/name_f]/[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]/[name_f]Adelia[/name_f]/[name_f]Adelina[/name_f]: One of these three might be my favorite for you. I like the “-el” sound that is present in two of your favorite names, plus the fact that it is beautiful, unique yet recognizable, vintage but not dated, and historical.
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f]: A less popular choice and more vintage than your other daughters, but it has so many gorgeous qualities and would sound great with your daughters. [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], and [name_f]Blythe[/name_f].
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]: An elegant, stylish, substantial choice with the “v” and “e” sounds that are present in the names of your other daughters, but distinctive because of the “G,” and so compatible with [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], [name_f]Vera[/name_f], and [name_f]Helena[/name_f]. It carries the same gravity and femininity.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] some of these suggestions helped! From those I mentioned, my personal favorites are “[name_u]Adel[/name_u]-” names, [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]. [name_f]Happy[/name_f] hunting!
Beautiful names! Some ideas that included the theme you mentioned and some other names that don’t follow the theme:
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] or [name_f]Jessamina[/name_f]
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] (or [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] if you don’t mind breaking your theme)
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Xenia[/name_f] (maybe a little out there but I thought I would suggest it)
[name_f]Angelica[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f]
[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Melody[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
Its funny to me that everyone keeps suggesting [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]. [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] is the name we initially decided on for [name_f]Vera[/name_f], but changed at the last second. Her and [name_f]Helena[/name_f] are twins and we did not think [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] made as good of a pair.
Some names I can think of… [name_f]Leora[/name_f], [name_f]Leona[/name_f], [name_f]Lenora[/name_f], [name_f]Serena[/name_f], [name_f]Jessa[/name_f], [name_f]Bella[/name_f], [name_f]Felicia[/name_f], [name_f]Renata[/name_f].
