I agree I could probably just call her [name]Violet[/name] with no nn, however I’d be worried someone would try to give her one when I wasn’t looking…sound ridiculous? It probably is. I think my favorite nn of your suggestions is [name]Vivi[/name], with it sounding like vivee with a short i.

Sadly, no, it doesn’t sound ridiculous at all! I know of someone with a [name]Violet[/name], and everyone tries to shorten it to [name]Vi[/name], despite both [name]Violet[/name]'s mom and [name]Violet[/name] herself (who is around 5, I believe) being very emphatic that they don’t like [name]Vi[/name] at all, and [name]Violet[/name] actually wants to go by [name]Letty[/name], but no one but her mom and dad will call her that. :*( It’s kinda sad. I don’t think that would stop me, though–[name]Violet[/name] is just so stunning.

[name]Bridget[/name] is a name I’m considering for a future child but I had a boss with that name at a job I hated so I’m not sure if I can overcome the association. I think [name]Bridget[/name] sounds great with [name]Caroline[/name] too!
