I like it! It has a very similar vibe to [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] which works just as well on a girl.
To me it sounds good paired with a one-syllable middle name, like for example:
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]
I do not like it for a girl
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] totally works for a girl.

[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Liliana[/name_f]

[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Daleyza[/name_f]

[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] / [name_f]Evelina[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Adelina[/name_f]
I’m not typically into unisex names, but I think this works since it’s so close to [name_f]Cerys[/name_f]. I like [name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] mentioned above.
I am not a fan of this name for either gender. I think of a ferris wheel or a ferret.
Some girly middle names to pair with [name_m]Ferris[/name_m]:
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Michelle[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
I am not a big fan period. I dislike the sound, not my cup of tea.
All I can think of is [name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_m]Bueller[/name_m], so it would be a definite no for me, even with a girly middle name.
I have a godson named [name_m]Faris[/name_m] so I cannot see this as a girls name, sorry.
It works, but I’m really not a fan. My sole connection is [name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_m]Bueller[/name_m], and all I can hear when I see the name [name_m]Ferris[/name_m] is [name_m]Ben[/name_m] [name_m]Stein[/name_m] going “[name_m]Bueller[/name_m]…[name_m]Bueller[/name_m]…[name_m]Bueller[/name_m]” in his signature monotone way.
I think its really cute!
sorry for any repeats
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f]/[name_f]Roxanna[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Diana[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]
[name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_f]Alana[/name_f]
I can see it working! It rhymes with several other girl names that I really like. I’m also a sucker for family names being used, especially on girls.
I think she might go through a phase of wanting a more feminine or common name but I think most people do at some point or another in their lives.
Also, I think the movie [name_m]Farris[/name_m] [name_m]Bueller[/name_m]'s [name_u]Day[/name_u] Off is really old now and won’t be a relevant reference for the generation being named right now.
Good luck!
