I’m super excited to announce the birth of my second child, [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]. [name_f]She[/name_f] was born on the 31st of [name_f]May[/name_f] and joins her older brother, [name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_m]Rowan[/name_m]. I’m still getting used to the name (I always find it a bit weird referring to the baby by name in the beginning) but am loving the sibset.
For us it’s a name we’ve loved since we were pregnant with our first. Plus, my name is [name_f]Stella[/name_f] so [name_f]Luna[/name_f] kind of fits with that celestial theme. We needed the name to be familiar and sweet, similar to [name_m]Kit[/name_m]. And it needed to work internationally (mainly in [name_f]English[/name_f] and in German).
For the middle name we had total freedom. We don’t have any family names and allowed ourselves to pick a name that isn’t necessarily pronounceable in [name_m]German[/name_m]. [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] isn’t really easy to say. We did the same with [name_m]Rowan[/name_m] for [name_m]Kit[/name_m].
We hope that she’ll love her name as she gets older. We’ve so far only had positive reactions to it.
Such a wonderful name, I love how well it fits with Kit!! Congratulations to you, and wishing you and your lovely family so much health and happiness in the future
