I’m stuck!!! I need an awesome first name and I have a short list but but having a hard time. I like the idea of an Irish name or something unusual but not strange. We really want to use [name_m]Drummer[/name_m] as the middle name because it is my mothers maiden name and it would be great to carry that name on as the rest of her family has passed. This little nugget has a big brother [name_u]Quinn[/name_u].
Names on the short list but open to new ideas
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] (not sure I like the hard consonant on the end)
[name_f]Aoife[/name_f] (worried no one will ever pronounce it correct)
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] (too hippie??)
I like all of your list. But with a brother called [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], I’d avoid another unisex name like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. That’s just personal preference. And with [name_m]Drummer[/name_m] as a middle name (lovely ode) I might avoid two -er endings, plus juniper is a word like drummer. Sounds quite descriptive. I don’t think [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is too hippy these days. As for [name_f]Aoife[/name_f], you’ll definitely encounter some need to educate people, but names these days are getting so much more diverse, I’d go for it if you have the roots to back it up. Plus, you’ll be saying it to introduce her most of the time. So of your list, I vote [name_f]Aoife[/name_f] [name_m]Drummer[/name_m].
Other ideas:
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Junia[/name_f]
[name_f]Neve[/name_f]
[name_f]Iona[/name_f]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_u]London[/name_u]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_m]Berkeley[/name_m]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_f]Norah[/name_f]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Aoife[/name_f]! If you’re worried about the pronunciation, you could use [name_f]Eva[/name_f] instead. Personally, I think the pronunciation won’t be a problem as she will be introduced.
