Baby girl name - Bible-based

[name]Hi[/name] everyone,
I am nearing my due date and still can’t find the perfect name for my baby girl.
My husband has fallen in love with one of my ideas, but I can’t seem to get my head around it and feel good. He doesn’t like some of my favorites.
I never felt like I got to fall in love with my son’s name before he was born, but I was really hoping to find that perfect name for this one.
Anyway, can you help me find a name that goes with brother [name]Gabriel[/name].
My husband loves [name]Galilee[/name], with the nicknamee Lilee (like [name]Lily[/name]). He’d like to incorporate that as a middle even if we settle for a different first name.
The name should be Bible based, and I’ve wanted to incorporate [name]Lauren[/name], [name]Marjorie[/name] or [name]Maggie[/name] somehow in the middle to honor family but that may not happen now.
The names on my list he still likes are:
[name]Talia[/name], [name]Eden[/name], [name]Eliana[/name], [name]Hannah[/name], [name]Grace[/name], [name]Noelle[/name], [name]Naomi[/name], [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Mariah[/name].
We both really like [name]Noelle[/name], but this baby is coming in the fall. Is that OK?
Are there good nicknames for [name]Naomi[/name]? What about [name]Abigail[/name] - anything other than [name]Abby[/name]?
Thanks!

I like all your name suggestions! If both of you like those names I would choose from those. Combos:
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Naomi[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Eliana[/name] [name]Grace[/name] - one of my favorites!
[name]Eden[/name] [name]Grace[/name] - some friends just named their baby this
[name]Naomi[/name] [name]Abigail[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Noelia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]

I think [name]Mimi[/name] can be a nickname for [name]Naomi[/name]. My neice is named [name]Noemi[/name] and is called [name]Mimi[/name].
[name]Lia[/name] (like [name]Leah[/name]) can be short for [name]Noelia[/name]. And I don’t think it’s bad to use it for babies not born on [name]Christmas[/name]. I think [name]Naomi[/name] goes best with [name]Gabriel[/name]. Good luck!

[name]Magdalene[/name]
[name]Aquilla[/name]
[name]Leah[/name] or [name]Lia[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Tabitha[/name] / [name]Tabby[/name]
[name]Esther[/name]
[name]Zipporah[/name] / [name]Zora[/name]

I’ve always loved [name]Hannah[/name], and [name]Talia[/name] is really great too!

I would totally use [name]Noelle[/name] at any time of the year. It’s one of my favorites. So, i wouldnt let the birth month affect the name choice. What about [name]Magdalene[/name] for a MN to incorporate the [name]Maggie[/name] family name?
[name]Abigail[/name] can go by [name]Gail[/name] if you don’t want to use [name]Abby[/name].

Came up with a few more:

[name]Ada[/name] is kind of cool too-- similar to the [name]Ava[/name]/[name]Eva[/name] craze but distinctive and classic.

[name]Eliza[/name] (like [name]Elizabeth[/name] from the Bible)

[name]Lucia[/name] (feminine form of [name]Luke[/name])

[name]Melea[/name] / [name]Melia[/name]? (one list I saw listed this as a Biblical name-- I’m not familiar with it but it’s pretty)

[name]Priscilla[/name] / [name]Cilla[/name] / Cillia

[name]Samaria[/name]

[name]Shiloh[/name]

I don’t like [name]Galilee[/name]. I love [name]Eden[/name]! [name]Eliana[/name], [name]Noelle[/name], and [name]Grace[/name] are all really pretty.

[name]Eden[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Eden[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Eden[/name] [name]Abigail[/name]
[name]Eden[/name] [name]Galilee[/name]
[name]Eliana[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Eliana[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Eden[/name]
[name]Noella[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] - nn [name]Maggie[/name] maybe
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Abigail[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Talia[/name] [name]Eden[/name]
[name]Talia[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Mariah[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Mariah[/name] [name]Galilee[/name]

[name]Naomi[/name] - [name]Mimi[/name] or [name]Nomi[/name] -no me
[name]Abigail[/name]: [name]Gail[/name] or GG/[name]Gigi[/name]

[name]Just[/name] want to put a good word in for [name]Galilee[/name]! I find it really beautiful and poetic. I would go with [name]Noelle[/name] though, since it’s so pretty and you both like it!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Mimi[/name] or Noey for [name]Naomi[/name]. It’s such a pretty underused Bible name.

[name]Naomi[/name] [name]Lauren[/name]
[name]Naomi[/name] [name]Maren[/name] ([name]Marjorie[/name]/[name]Maggie[/name]–[name]Lauren[/name] mush if you dont mind a less obvious namesake, actually, I really love that for you!)

What about [name]Glory[/name]? Similar in some ways to [name]Galilee[/name] but a little more simple.

Also, [name]Esther[/name] nn [name]Tess[/name] is beautiful and fun.

Also, [name]Moriah[/name] which is a lovely Biblical name that’s not often used.

[name]Noelle[/name] is also one of my all time favorites, nn [name]Nell[/name], [name]Nelly[/name]

ps. as for working in [name]Lauren[/name], I actually know a girl named Gloriana…so you know, things can work out.

I love [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Grace[/name]. Such a pretty combination. I think [name]Galilee[/name] would be a better middle name choice. I love the name [name]Gabriel[/name], by the way! [name]Eden[/name] [name]Galilee[/name] sounds nice, although they are both Biblical place names, so I don’t know if you would like those two together. [name]Noelle[/name] is very pretty as well!
[name]One[/name] Bible name I love that seems so underused is [name]Miriam[/name]. [name]Miriam[/name] [name]Galilee[/name] sounds really pretty in my opinion! Anyways, good luck! You’ve got some great choices!

[name]Galilee[/name] is very cute! I’m not sure it works with [name]Gabriel[/name], though - the styles are different and you get the “G” pattern to consider if you ever have another child.

I love [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Galilee[/name] or [name]Noelle[/name] [name]Galilee[/name].

Nicknames:
[name]Abigail[/name] - Nabby, [name]Gail[/name], [name]Ayla[/name]
[name]Naomi[/name] - [name]Mimi[/name], [name]Mia[/name], Nay, Nami, [name]Nana[/name]

More ideas:
[name]Magdalen[/name] “[name]Maggie[/name]”
[name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Eve[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] “[name]Lydie[/name]”
[name]Jemima[/name]

Thanks everyone.
I like some of the combinations you came up with, and I’m going to try to find a few more too.
Unfortunately a lot of the other suggestions were names that I loved but that my husband has vetoed.
While I’m not due until Oct. 1, my first born was a month early, so I’m really starting to stress about the name.
I just pray that God will help lead me there.
Thanks again.

[name]Galilee[/name] is sweet. I also like [name]Tirzah[/name] since you are into place names.

[name]Galilee[/name] looks pretty and sounds neat, but when you say it out loud it sounds more like Galley than [name]Galilee[/name]. It’s tough to pronounce it clearly enough without saying it so deliberately that it then sounds goofy.

[name]Talia[/name] - [name]Love[/name].
[name]Eden[/name] - [name]Love[/name].
[name]Eliana[/name] - Forgettable, [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Hannah[/name] - Classic. Can’t go wrong.
[name]Grace[/name] - Cute.
[name]Noelle[/name] - Not my style.
[name]Naomi[/name] - I don’t like it personally, but it wouldn’t be a bad choice.
[name]Abigail[/name] - [name]Love[/name]. Not crazy about the [name]Abby[/name] nickname though.
[name]Mariah[/name] - I’m sorry, but this just seems trashy to me.

I think [name]Idalah[/name] is a cool underused biblical place name.

Other ideas:

[name]Dahlia[/name] or [name]Dalia[/name] – [name]Dalia[/name] is the Hebrew spelling of the name, but in English, the name itself is more commonly spelled as [name]Dahlia[/name], like the flower.
[name]Delilah[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Eve[/name]
[name]Jessica[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Junia[/name]
[name]Keziah[/name]
[name]Leah[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Madeleine[/name]
[name]Noa[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Rachel[/name]
[name]Rebecca[/name]
[name]Samantha[/name]
[name]Sarah[/name]
[name]Selah[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Tabitha[/name]

I hope that helps! [name]Galilee[/name] is a cool idea, too, by the way.

So, I’ve been working on combos and have gotten pretty discouraged since some of my favorites have been ruled out. Now, I’m realizing that [name]Eden[/name] is too close to my brother [name]Ethan[/name], except maybe for a middle.
I’m starting to give up on [name]Galilee[/name], because I have issues with pronunciation. But maybe [name]Lily[/name] is back in.
What do you think of these?

[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Marjorie[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Abigail[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name]
[name]Talia[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Talia[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Talia[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name]
[name]Talia[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Selah[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (husband doesn’t care for [name]Selah[/name], but thought I’d try)
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Galilee[/name] (This is the only [name]Galilee[/name] left)
[name]Noelle[/name] [name]Eden[/name]
[name]Lily[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name]
[name]Lily[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]

I’m really liking the idea of [name]Seraphina[/name] as a middle, since my son and step-son have angel names…

I think [name]Lily[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name] is the nicest [name]Seraphina[/name] combo. I also really like [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] and [name]Talia[/name] [name]Grace[/name].

Some of my favorites have always been [name]Lydia[/name], [name]Noelle[/name], [name]Eden[/name], [name]Zion[/name], [name]Susannah[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Julia[/name]. [name]Noelle[/name] is one I would use any time of the year! It is beautiful. I think [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Galilee[/name] and [name]Eden[/name] [name]Galilee[/name] sound the best together.

<3 Galilee nn Lilee!!
Also love Naomi, Eden, and Noelle
Selah and Shalom are more favorites
