[name_f]My[/name_f] husband’s family is from [name_u]Scotland[/name_u] and my family is from [name_f]Italy[/name_f]. We’d love to honour both ancestries with baby girl’s name, however not sure if there is a name that can successfully do this. So far, we love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. I know it is traditionally an [name_u]Irish[/name_u] name, but we can be okay with that as it is Celtic. As for middle names, I recently fell in love with [name_f]Giulietta[/name_f] (Italian form of Juliet). Wondering if these names could work together.
[name_f]Fia[/name_f] ~ this could be a good idea as it has both links to [name_f]Italy[/name_f] and Gaelic
[name_f]Leonora[/name_f]
[name_f]Chiara[/name_f]
[name_f]Oriana[/name_f]
[name_f]Allegra[/name_f]
[name_f]Serafina[/name_f]
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f]
Ginerva
I think [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Giulietta[/name_f] is wonderful!
As for other suggestions, [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] comes to mind! It has both Italian + Celtic (Welsh) origins, as well as literary connections (Guinevere from the stories of [name_m]King[/name_m] Arthur)
I agree with everything that my fellow berries have suggested so far!
Thank you for your suggestions, especially the thoughtful consideration of my family names. I love [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Evelina[/name_f], [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] and [name_f]Serafina[/name_f]!
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Giulietta[/name_f] is the sweetest name! What a magical combination of both languages and cultures!
[name_f]Angelina[/name_f] is a stunning name too. [name_u]An[/name_u] underused gem!
I believe you have found a gorgeous name.
