We are thinking about naming our daughter [name]Mira[/name] [name]Grace[/name], but are not confident yet. Some people have said [name]Mira[/name] will be mispronounced or that they just don’t like it. Please give me your honest opinion or other ideas. I just thought of [name]Ella[/name] [name]Grace[/name] today. Thoughts on it?
Here are some other names I like but we won’t use b/c we have close friends who have used these names. [name]Do[/name] you have any suggestions for similar names? I’ve realized I really like names that end in “a”. ([name]Hannah[/name], [name]Elliana[/name], [name]Emma[/name], [name]Olivia[/name] (husband doesn’t like), [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Hi[/name] again–I responded to your post under “Girls’ Names” but I don’t know if you saw it yet. I just thought of another possible name that sounds somewhat similar: [name]Marina[/name]. I don’t hear it much but it’s easy to pronounce and probably would age well.
I think [name]Mira[/name] is very very sweet, but will also “grow up” with her nicely.
I’ve always loved the name [name]Mirabelle[/name]. What about naming her [name]Mira[/name] [name]Belle[/name] instead of [name]Mira[/name] [name]Grace[/name]? It seems like everyone is choosing [name]Grace[/name] or [name]Rose[/name] for middle names.
[name]Hi[/name] … I love names that end in -a too! I love the earlier suggestion of [name]Marina[/name] … and think [name]Rina[/name] or could spell it [name]Reena[/name] is a cute nn … I really love [name]Mira[/name] as well … here are some others I like and thought you might too … [name]Maura[/name], [name]Amara[/name], [name]Mara[/name], [name]Keira[/name], [name]Chiara[/name]
Good luck …
[name]Hi[/name] there… I think [name]Mira[/name] is pretty, but it may be mispronounced by some. I love [name]Mirabel[/name]/[name]Mirabelle[/name], too. [name]Ella[/name] is very, very popular (#19), as are the other choices you’ve listed ([name]Hannah[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], and [name]Emma[/name] are in the top 20, with [name]Emma[/name] being number one), so this may be something you want to consider.

I like [name]Mira[/name], but is it meer-a or my-ra? Some other ideas that are similar but perhaps easier to understand: You could, depending on how you want it pronounced, spell it [name]Meera[/name] or [name]Meara[/name] or [name]Myra[/name] (though I’m sure people will still mispronounced it). Also, there’s [name]Mara[/name] and [name]Maura[/name]. And also [name]Maurya[/name]. [name]Keira[/name], as in the actress [name]Keira[/name] Knightly, has been growing in popularity – and can also be spelled [name]Kyra[/name] (or [name]Kiera[/name], or even [name]Kira[/name]). [name]Chiara[/name] is the very pretty Italian version of [name]Claire[/name], pronounced kee-ahr-a (but people will mispronounce that!). There’s also [name]Sera[/name], like [name]Sara[/name], except not.
