Help! I’m having a baby girl soon & can’t decide on a name. I have names narrowed down to [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], [name_f]Raegan[/name_f] or [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f]? Opinions are welcome & please give specifics for liking or disliking if you have time? Thanks in advance!!!
Congrats on your upcoming arrival. Here are my thoughts on the names you’re thinking of:
[name_f]Raegan[/name_f]- The meaning is “little king” and I’m not a fan of the former president, so it doesn’t get my vote.
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]- A solid choice. There’s nothing wrong with it, but it is a little dated to me.
[name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f]- [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite on your list, but it won’t get a lot of love with this spelling on this site. Ultimately, the spelling is up your preference, but the traditional spelling is more simple, which I always am a fan of.
Good luck!
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_u]Morgan[/name_u]. I don’t have the same taste as you in names, but [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is the most classic and sturdy. [name_f]Raegan[/name_f] is a bit dated, and the spelling for [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f] dates this name even further (personally, I would spell it [name_u]Riley[/name_u] or, the even more traditional [name_u]Reilly[/name_u]).
Congratulations though :).
I agree with the previous suggestion of spelling it [name_u]Reilly[/name_u]. It seems more feminine than [name_u]Riley[/name_u] (which it seems like you were trying to achieve with the spelling [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f]), but doesn’t look as…convoluted? I like [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], it’s sweet and more or less timeless, and [name_f]Raegan[/name_f]. [name_u]Rae[/name_u] would be a cute nickname.
I like [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f]. Unfair to you, but I knew Reagans that I didn’t connect with, and my old roommate’s dog was [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] (it’s also a horse breed). [name_m]Both[/name_m] also feel too 1980s to me. But you’ve given [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f] a nice twist. [name_f]My[/name_f] girls have Very traditional names and our third will have more character, like you have with [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f].
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is a boys name. Anything but [name_u]Morgan[/name_u].
[name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f] is my favorite of your list, but I would also spell it [name_u]Riley[/name_u]. I would also suggest giving her a very feminine middle name, so she doesn’t get mistaken for a boy.
I like all your choices. [name_f]My[/name_f] cousins daughter is [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f] ([name_f]My[/name_f] cousins mn is [name_f]Leighanne[/name_f]. thats where she got the [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f] spelling) I think [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is timeless and strong and [name_f]Raegan[/name_f] is really cute! I know some say its outdated, but when was it used? I dont know one little girl named [name_f]Raegan[/name_f]–Its cute!
I really dislike unisex names. I do really like [name_u]Morgan[/name_u]! [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] is going to feel really dated in a few years. [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f] seems very trendy. So [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] gets my vote. [name_m]New[/name_m] suggestions:
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
I’d also spell it [name_u]Riley[/name_u]. If it’s spelled that way, it’s my favorite. Other ones you might like:
[name_u]Briley[/name_u]
[name_u]Brinley[/name_u]
[name_u]Teegan[/name_u]/[name_u]Teagan[/name_u]
[name_f]Mallory[/name_f]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_u]Ridley[/name_u]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is my favourite of the three, it’s classic and cute.
From your list I like [name_u]Riley[/name_u] but [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f] is nice too. I also like [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] and [name_m]Kingsley[/name_m]. Cheers
I find them all extremely masculine but I guess [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] would be the less trendy/dated.
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]–absolutely! I like [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] spelled [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] (not [name_f]Raegan[/name_f]–I think that will lead to a lifetime of misspellings!). [name_u]Riley[/name_u] I feel is overdone right now, and spelling it [name_f]Ryleigh[/name_f] is just too “creative” for me.
