I would say [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] or [name_f]Adda[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u].

I say [name_f]Ada[/name_f]-lay, but then I’m not English and tend to, at least in my head when I read them, pronounce all -leigh names with a lay sound, so [name_u]Ash[/name_u]-lay, Hay-lay, etc.

However, instead of spelling it differently or correcting everyone, have you considered calling her [name_f]Ada[/name_f] Leighsomething or [name_f]Ada[/name_f]-Leighsomething and just calling her [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]? I think [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], at the beginning of a name would be pronounced the way you want it to and this way, if she’d prefer to, she could go by just [name_f]Ada[/name_f] in the future.

I say “adda-lee” but voted for “ada-lee” because the -lee pronunciation would still apply.

I would change it to Adalaigh if you wanted it to be pronounced correctly

I’ve never met anyone with a name including -leigh that’s pronounced it lay. You might want to change the spelling. Adalae, Adalaigh, or even Adalay is pretty.

OP, I’m curious what you ended up with. I too love the name “[name_f]Ada[/name_f]-[name_m]Lay[/name_m]” and am considering it. I’m thinking of spelling it Adelae or [name_u]Adel[/name_u]ée.
