Hey everyone. I’ve want to name a daughter after someone in my family that has passed away, but I’m not about the whole ‘taking the exact same name sort of thing’. Rather, I would have it as a nickname, but I need help finding a full name for it!!!
The nickname would be ‘Meg’ or ‘Meggie’, and so far I’ve only thought of [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f], [name_f]Madelaine[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], and other varying versions of those.
I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Megan[/name_f], [name_f]Megara[/name_f], or Magnolia… but I’m flexible.
Any suggestions?
[name_f]Meg[/name_f] is such a cute and underrated nickname!

[name_f]My[/name_f] personal choice would be to use the most classic name, [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], but to call her by the nickname, [name_f]Meg[/name_f]. I love the combination [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

I also very much like the name [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. [name_f]Meg[/name_f] could easily be a nickname for this derivative of [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], as well.

The only others I can think of are [name_f]Magali[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. But I personally would choose [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] nn [name_f]Meg[/name_f].

I think it’s cute too, my only counter being people seem to be hating on the ‘grandma names’ these days (personally, I love them).
