Baby girl names and meanings

I want my daughter to have a name with beautiful meaning. Which of these names do you like best? [name]Do[/name] you have name suggestions that have great meanings? Thanks girls

[name]Milena[/name] (aka [name]Mila[/name])- [name]Love[/name], warmth, grace. [name]Milena[/name] is also the name of a genus of butterflies.
[name]Penelope[/name]-[name]Weaver[/name].
[name]Arabella[/name]- Submitting to prayer. I think this is a beautiful alternative to the all too popular [name]Isabella[/name].
[name]Abigail[/name]- A fathers joy. My husband loves the meaning of this name, but its not my fave…but I love that he loves it

Of your choices, I think I prefer [name]Abigail[/name] or [name]Arabella[/name].

Here are some others

I prefer [name]Milena[/name] out of all your choices, both in sound and meaning. [name]Arabella[/name] would be my second choice based purely on meaning, but I have such an aversion to -bella names right now because they are everywhere.

Would you be pronouncing [name]Milena[/name] like Meh-lee-nah or Meh-lay-nah? Not that it makes a huge difference, I like it either way, but I am curious

I am so into meanings. Here’s a list of some of my favorite names with meanings – listography: error

I like [name]Milena[/name] off your list a lot, I had [name]Vanessa[/name] on my list for awhile just because of the butterfly association. I love butterflies.

Vicioustrollop it’s pronounced Meh-lee-nah.
Agxobsessed I looked threw your list and my all time fave is [name]Seraphina[/name]! [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] THIS! Unfortunatly, my husband isn’t a fan :frowning:

I love those names that you mentioned – great meanings and very pretty!

Some others:
[name]Babette[/name] - My God is bountiful
[name]Dara[/name] - [name]Wisdom[/name], beauty
[name]Felicity[/name] - Happiness
[name]Shalom[/name] - [name]Peace[/name]
[name]Eliora[/name] - God is my light
[name]Eliana[/name] - God answers prayer

Some alternatives to [name]Abigail[/name] (have similar ideas behind the meaning):
[name]Hepzibah[/name]/[name]Eppie[/name] – Yeah, this is pretty out there, but I think [name]Eppie[/name] is cute and it means “my delight is in her”
Liat – “You are mine”

[name]Milena[/name] always reminds me of the medical term “melena”, though if you aren’t in the medical profession or somehow associated to it, you probably don’t have that association. It has turned me off the name completely.

Some girl names with great meanings:

[name]Sarah[/name]/ [name]Sally[/name]/ [name]Sadie[/name]- [name]Princess[/name]

I’ve always adored the name [name]Abigail[/name], and she has a cool story in the Bible as well. Her husband wasn’t a wise man and there was an army coming at them so [name]Abigail[/name] put together a bunch of food as a peace offering and gave it to the [name]King[/name]. The [name]King[/name] was impressed, didn’t kill her husband, and later when her husband died the [name]King[/name] asked her to be his wife. [name]Wisdom[/name], quick thinking, and courage!

I also like:

[name]Naomi[/name] - means my joy and delight
[name]Mirabel[/name] - means wonderful
