Baby name Claire…and middles names

So I’ve recently circled back to [name_f]Claire[/name_f] as a baby name. It’s very sweet and simple, easy to say, flows well with my and hubby’s last name and I like the classic elegance that is cute on a child and also easy going for an adult!

Middle names stump me for this one. I’m open to other suggestions but prefer honor names.

[name_f]My[/name_f] mother’s name is [name_f]Crystal[/name_f]. Is [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] overkill? [name_f]Claire[/name_f] in itself could honor [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] by meaning ‘bright and clear’ as [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] can mean, though or last name starts with C as well so would CCC feel like MORE overkill???

Other honor names I have would be:

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Inez[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] Carmeen (already my middle name)
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Merle[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]

Help!

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] immediately brings to mind “crystal clear.”

I know a girl named [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] and I think that’s cute.

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Justine[/name_f] (CJ)
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]

If you were comfortable providing the first letter of your last name that might help future posters.

Oh how did I forget ‘Crystal clear’…?! [name_f]My[/name_f] mom said she was tormented with that as a child. Oof!! And last name is C…so [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] C feels like overkill already to me  I do love [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]!

I too agree [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] would be a little overkill, as in my opinion [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is already a gorgeous honor for [name_f]Crystal[/name_f]! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite of your other honor choices is [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Inez[/name_f].

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Florence[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]

On the topic of nn I hope you like the sound of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] - [name_m]Bear[/name_m] because it is probably inevitable no matter the mn.

FWIW I would avoid O names and U names with those initials but you might feel differently.

Firstly [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is beautiful :two_hearts:

Secondly I agree with the berries automatically think [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] Clear with [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Crystal[/name_f]. Does your mum have a middle name that you could use in the middle name slot? Still [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is a subtle (but lovely) honour choice for your mum I love the link with the meanings.

From your list I think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Inez[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] & [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f] such lovely names!

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Inez[/name_f] are beautiful!!

Allira can mean crystal.

[name_f]Tourmaline[/name_f], [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f], [name_u]Jasper[/name_u], [name_f]Topaz[/name_f] and [name_u]Garnet[/name_u] are types of crystals that I think could make cute middles for [name_f]Claire[/name_f]

Whaat about [name_f]Crystina[/name_f]?

I agree that [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] would be too much, especially considering how much it sounds like “clear crystal”. From your options I really like [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]!

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is so gorgeous :yellow_heart: Simple, strong, and versatile. I love it! I love the idea of honoring your mother, but [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] did make me think Clear [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] → [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] Clear. I do think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] itself could honor a [name_f]Crystal[/name_f], through both the meaning and the initial/sound! I really love the rest of your middle names list. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Inez[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f], and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f] are my favorites! I also adore [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], but I can’t decide whether the r ending of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] running into the r beginning of [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] bothers me?

I like Claire Carmeen! Ooh, and Claire Georgia is so so beautiful.

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is such a lovely name, elegant and sleek. Would your Mom’s maiden name be usable in the middle spot, or perhaps her middle? From your list, [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Inez[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] are my favourites. I like @mea.ola’s suggestion of [name_f]Crystina[/name_f] too.

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is one of my favorite names. I second Cl@ire [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], Cl@ire [name_f]Crystina[/name_f], Cl@ire [name_f]Judith[/name_f] and Cl@ire [name_f]Joanna[/name_f].

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Inez[/name_f] is stunning! I also adore [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] from your list. I love [name_f]Claire[/name_f] Carmeen because it honors you! All these choices flow very well.

I love a middle name with [name_f]Claire[/name_f] that ends in A so you have [name_f]Clea[/name_f] as an option for a nickname. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] does that perfectly. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] as well.
If you want to honor your mother, maybe [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Crystabel[/name_f] would work. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] is a bit awkward,

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is one of my favorite classic girl names. It’s so beautiful but not super common. Of your combos, I love:

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Inez[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]

What’s your mother’s middle name? Could that work?

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Leone[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f]

Her middle name is [name_f]Ann[/name_f], and while I think it’s kind of pretty, [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] seems difficult as two single syllable names??
