Baby Name Dealbreakers

All it takes is a quick skim through the Name Advice section of the forums to discover that there are a lot of dealbreakers in the world of baby names. Embarrassing nicknames, odd or offensive meanings, too-matchy sibling names, rhyming surnames… the list goes on.

Not everyone feels the same way about all of these issues, and that’s where this game is coming from.

Here’s how it works:

The first poster gives a name and a potential dealbreaker. The next poster decides “deal” or “no deal” based off of the dealbreaker, not necessarily the name itself. Some examples:

“Milo, but your LN is Russo”
“Katelyn, but SO’s ex is Katherine”
“Sadie, but it’s the neighbor’s dog’s name”
