Baby Name Graham

Wanting to collect others’ opinions on the name [name]Graham[/name] for a baby boy. I like it but my husband is more on the fence. I love the nickname Hammie (for any out there who are familiar with the [name]Baby[/name] Blues cartoon!). My three-year-old son is named [name]Henry[/name]. Honest opinions, please!

I love the name [name]Graham[/name], but kind of hate the nn Hammie.

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Graham[/name]! I think it’s very handsome. it’s uncommon without being weird, soft without being sissy, and masculine without being overly done ([name]Brawley[/name] and [name]Cannon[/name] anyone?) I think it’s a great choice and goes wonderfully with [name]Henry[/name]. Other great choices I could totally see with [name]Henry[/name] would be [name]Callum[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Rufus[/name], and [name]Milo[/name] if you’re not sold on [name]Graham[/name]. If you are though, I think it’s an awesome pick :]

i do not like the name graham- AT ALL.
it’s a middle aged man’s name to me-
(sorry, but you asked for honesty )
i like hamish if you’re thinking of hammie
xo

I love [name]Graham[/name] (and [name]Graeme[/name]) - it’s always been somewhat classically popular in parts of [name]Canada[/name]. Not middle-aged at all, but I think it ages well. In [name]Canada[/name] and the UK it’s pr. with almost 2 syllables (i.e. “[name]Gray[/name]-um”, but more subtle), rather than “[name]Gram[/name]” (strictly a unit of measurement, that). Which do you favour? Either way, I think it goes well with [name]Henry[/name].

Good luck!

I have a 20 month old son named [name]Graham[/name], so of course I love the name. Unfortunately for me, the name is gaining in popularity. I purposely chose it because it was more unusual. I am not crazy about the nickname of Hammy though. I don’t really have a set nickname for my [name]Graham[/name], but will sometimes call him G, Gman, [name]Graham[/name]-a-lam.

I love love love the name [name]Graham[/name]. I really love the nn [name]Gray[/name] for it too.

[name]Graham[/name] yes, Hammie no.

I love the name [name]Graham[/name]. I think it’s awesome. [name]Graham[/name] is also the name of one of my good friends.
While I love [name]Graham[/name], I’m not a fan of Hammie as a nickname for [name]Graham[/name]. It just doesn’t work as a nickname for [name]Graham[/name]. Plus, it’s such a great name by itseld that it doesn’t need a nickname (although my friend jokes that his nickname is [name]Gram[/name]).
I love [name]Baby[/name] Blues comics, I’ve been reading them since I was a little kid, and Hammie has grown on me. But I don’t think it works for a nickname of [name]Graham[/name].

My thoughts EXACTLY!!!

I really do adore [name]Graham[/name], though. What about [name]Gray[/name] as a nn instead?

[name]Love[/name], love, love [name]Graham[/name]! It’s cute on a little boy but so masculine on an adult. I really don’t think you could go wrong.

Personally, I don’t like Hammie. [name]Graham[/name] is already one syllable (I’m pronouncing it like gram) so it doesn’t need to be shortened.

i like the the name graham and i knew a girl with that last name… just don’t name your kid that if you absolutely hate it paired with cracker… because we used to call her that a lot

I seriously [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Graham[/name]! If it didn’t sound horrible with my last name I would totally use it!
