I wanted feedback on a name that my husband and I both really love, but unintentionally rhymes with my name…and is kind of a combo of his and my names.
We like the name [name_f]Clara[/name_f] because it’s classy, sounds great with our last name, and pays tribute to my late grandmother (whose name shares the same meaning as [name_f]Clara[/name_f]).
[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], and husband’s name begins with a K. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] almost sounds like a mashup of our two names. Is it ridiculous to name our baby [name_f]Clara[/name_f]?
I don’t think it really matters. For me, [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] don’t rhyme at all (sair-uh versus clah-ruh… I’m Australian) but thinking of how you likely say them, I don’t think it matters too much. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is gorgeous!
I like it! It’s kind of cool how it’s a mesh of your names! I know a family like this. At first it is noticeable but it’s also cute. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is so beautiful!
I went to elementary school with a girl named [name_f]Karah[/name_f] and I remember her “bragging” about her mom’s name being [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]. It was a super cool thing when we were seven and I think that’s sweet.
