[name_m]Hi[/name_m], baby number 2 is due soon and we cant seem to find a girls name that we love. Her big brother is [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], but goes by [name_m]Eli[/name_m]. We aren’t religious (just love the name [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]), so definitely don’t want another biblical name. We’d like something recognisable, so not too out there, but probably prefer it not to be in the top 10 if possible. What do you think of our current front runners - [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]? [name_m]How[/name_m] do they sound with [name_m]Eli[/name_m] / [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]? Middle name will be either [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u] or [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] (or possibly two of these). Would really appreciate some objective opinions! Thanks
I think [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] sounds too similar to [name_m]Eli[/name_m]. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] sound great with [name_m]Eli[/name_m] / [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]! For whatever reason I’m really liking [name_m]Eli[/name_m] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] together. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] would be lovely! [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is very nice too, but more popular, especially if you consider all of the Sophias and Sofias and Sophies. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is really striking [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
If you wouldn’t mind sharing either the surname or details about it (like what sounds are prominent, what it starts and ends with, how many syllables it has), that would help.

Thank you! Our surname is one syllable, and a fairly harsh sounding name of [name_m]German[/name_m] origins so I think the first name needs to be something that will soften it a bit?

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is too similar to [name_m]Eli[/name_m] - sounds almost like the same name backwards. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is beautiful but has some harsh sounds so it depends on how you like it with your surname. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is too popular for me but it is very friendly sounding.
