[name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl due soon with a big brother named [name_u]Hunter[/name_u].
We’ve two main choices…
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] or [name_f]Roxie[/name_f].
So, we’re a half-[name_f]Asian[/name_f], half-Anglo Australian family and [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]'s full name is [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] Thi [name_m]Edward[/name_m] Tran.
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u] was a name we decided on way ahead of time, it was kind of a surprise choice for me, being a bit ‘trendy’ and having the violent association but it stuck in our hearts and it totally suits him.
So do we go with something that has kind of equal attitude and a bit of ‘rock’n’roll’ cred ([name_f]Roxie[/name_f]) or balance it a bit with the sweet, soft [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]?
It would be [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] Tran or [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] Tran.
My mum is [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and my grandmother was [name_f]Bertha[/name_f].
I like that [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] is less popular a name at the moment but am concerned that she’s more likely to be a naughty teen!! Can a [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] be head prefect?
[name_f]Roxie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] to me is way better than [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Bertha[/name_f]. If you really wanted to go with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], [name_f]Beth[/name_f] could be a spin off of [name_f]Bertha[/name_f].
But I think [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] and [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] go so great together. Its cute but also age-able!
While I find the repetition of the first sounds in [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] a little similar for my taste, [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] and [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] are definitely a winning pair! I don’t think [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] demands that its wearer be a troublemaker, but I like the extra helping of fiery spunk that it brings to the table! Plus, if little [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] ever wanted to go by the softer [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], using [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] leaves that possibility open to her.
Have you thought about [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] nn [name_f]Roxie[/name_f]? [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] and [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] is a nice set. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is also beautiful.
[name_f]Roxie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is a badass if I’ve ever heard of one, but she’s very sweet when you get to know her and is secretly a big teddy bear… My impression!
[name_f]Roxie[/name_f] doesn’t sound very classy to me maybe try [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] instead? I think [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is very classy and ages well plus [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] sounds pretty sassy to me.
I was wondering… would [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] be too far of a stretch as a nickname for [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]?
People use one commonly associated nickname with another name all the time and it does have the beginning and the end.
I think [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is a little repetitive simply because I would use [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
I would simply go with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] Tran… and then decide which nickname I like better.
I see this as the best of both worlds as she will have the sweet name [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and the spunky nickname [name_f]Roxy[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is an awesome name. Also I knew a [name_f]Roxy[/name_f] and she’s an honour roll student and a ballet dancer, not the trouble maker type at all.
[name_f]Roxy[/name_f] is awesome. No offense but [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] makes me think "big [name_f]Bertha[/name_f]’. Maybe abbreviate to [name_u]Beri[/name_u] or [name_u]Bert[/name_u] if you use it?
[name_f]Roxie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is an awesome name !! I say go for it .
