Congrats! For a sister for [name_f]Ruthanne[/name_f] [name_m]Loy[/name_m] “[name_u]Rue[/name_u]” and along the lines of [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]…
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Saylor[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Sutton[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Sue[/name_f]* (love this and I think it fits well with older sister [name_f]Ruthanne[/name_f] but it may be too close to “[name_u]Rue[/name_u]?”)
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u]*
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Sloane[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvana[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Selena[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Seren[/name_u]
Best of luck! I seem to blanking on S surnames >5 letters long but I gave it my best shot
@isolieth: check [name_f]Mariposa[/name_f] in urban dictionary for what I’m referring to.
Wonderful middle name suggestions coming in! I like [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], [name_u]Sutton[/name_u], [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u], [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], and especially [name_f]Sue[/name_f] if only it weren’t so close to [name_u]Rue[/name_u]. Any other suggestions for names that contain [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?
One more thought on [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]…[name_f]Briallen[/name_f] ([name_f]Bree[/name_f]-AHL-lin, roughly) is Welsh for primrose. It would be pretty hard to get [name_f]Posy[/name_f] as a nn, although there are certainly plenty of people whose nns don’t have anything to do w/their legal name.
I love the name [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] & think it sounds great w/[name_f]Ruthanne[/name_f]. While I also really [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], & some of the others you mentioned, they don’t seem to go as well w/[name_f]Ruthanne[/name_f] stylistically.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] is a terrific name. Here are a few more [name_f]Rose[/name_f] suggestions:
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Roselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Rosette[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Roshelle[/name_f]* (I really like how this first/middle combo sounds although I prefer the [name_f]Rochelle[/name_f] spelling)
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f]
I’d opt for [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]/[name_u]Josie[/name_u] or [name_u]Joss[/name_u], but Phylancy is an option…I think it was an old nn for [name_f]Phyllida[/name_f], it’s in my family tree, anyway.
Go for [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. If you are nicknaming the baby, then having a name that is sensible and recognisable will be good for when she is an adult, as well as as a child.
I personally think [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] and [name_u]Rue[/name_u] are too connected to the Hunger Games. I would go with [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].
Another idea is since [name_f]RuthAnne[/name_f] is a double barrel name, how about:
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
Other first names: [name_f]Petal[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], Persimmon, [name_f]Pnina[/name_f] or Ponina, [name_u]Pepper[/name_u], [name_u]Patrice[/name_u], Piama
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Josefina[/name_f]/[name_f]Josephina[/name_f])
[name_f]Philomena[/name_f] ( People will call her whatever her name is. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this name!)
[name_f]Theodosia[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] more, but this is sweet too.
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is a great choice too. But, I think your other names may age better. I adore the name Wildrose, but probably just as a middle. [name_f]Posey[/name_f] isn’t a long enough name own it’s own?
