So, we had our middle name picked out for several months and then my sister used it for her baby girl. We are 1 month apart. We had planned to use [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as the middle name. It is a family name, it was pretty and it fit with everything. We were having trouble narrowing down first names until recently. We are down to [name_f]MaKenna[/name_f] or [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. We love them both and the plan is to see her before we make a final decision. But we want to be prepared with middle names for each.
[name_f]MaKenna[/name_f] seems easier to pair with a middle name. I was hoping someone might have some ideas. Also, do you see any way to use both names or variations of them together? Last name begins with a P and is 2 syllables.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Makenna[/name_f]? It sounds great:) I vote for [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] as the first name because it has a bit more of a timeless feel, compared to [name_f]Makenna[/name_f]. Good luck!
I can understand no longer using [name_f]Mae[/name_f] if you feel strongly about your daughter’s name being unique, but I just wanted to let you know that it is not uncommon for cousins to share middle names, especially family names. I’m one of them - my cousin has the same MN as me, as does my sister-in-law with her cousin, and my best friend and her cousin.
I like [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Makenna[/name_f]/[name_f]McKenna[/name_f] (not a fan of [name_f]MaKenna[/name_f]), [name_f]Makenna[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], or [name_f]Makenna[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f].
I like [name_f]MaKenna[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. Since it is a family name, I think it would be fine for you to keep [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as the middle name. (Check with your sister first, though.) You could spell it [name_f]Maye[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], or [name_f]Mai[/name_f] to make it a bit different.
MaKenna could have the nickname [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and a totally different middle name.
