First off this week has sucked all around. I found out [name_f]Monday[/name_f] that DS will have to be delivered via scheduled c-section due to his positioning. I’m having him the 23rd. So 13 days and counting. I really wanted to have a standard birth, but probably won’t happen unless he moves. Second My DH and I had finally decided on [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_m]Soren[/name_m] Kauffman as our final choice for a name. After literally 100s of middle names being thrown out. Then on wednesday Dh’s best friend since kindergarten ended up having rainbow baby 6 weeks early, and they ended up naming him [name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_u]Campbell[/name_u]. (He is doing great might get to leave NICU tomorrow, and I love his name.) so new middle needed for us.
Right now we are throwing out most of the previous suggestions and thinking
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_m]Cisco[/name_m]
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_m]McCoy[/name_m].
Any input positive or negative appreciated. We wanted some thing a little different. Open to suggestions at this point
I say stick with [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_m]Soren[/name_m]. My second choice would be [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]. Both very handsome.
I agree with lovemysweeties on [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]. Its definitally the most handsome of those 4 choices, even a little better than [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_m]Soren[/name_m].
Unfortunately not [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_m]Soren[/name_m] is out the guy who just named his [name_m]Son[/name_m] [name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] is literally like a brother to DH and we hang out with them all the time. its kind of our fault because we didn’t tell anyone what name we were considering so they didn’t know. DH won’t use the same name as his best friend.
Sorry you’ve had a bad week! Try to relax and not stress yourself out over things that are out of your control. That sweet little boy will be here soon (one way or another!)!

Another idea would be to talk to the friends that just had little [name_m]Soren[/name_m]. Tell them that you were seriously considering it for your son’s middle name and see if they want to share what other names they had considered. That might spark some new ideas for you?
I think we will spend some time thinking on it over the next couple days. I like [name_u]Gray[/name_u] and DH likes [name_m]Simon[/name_m]. See if we can find something we agree on.
I don’t see it being a problem unless you were planning to call him by his middle name. maybe ask if they would have an issue with it? (as long as thats not what you wanted him to go by) I think [name_m]Simon[/name_m] sounds almost the same, which might be why he likes it as an alternative.
My favorite is [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]. My son’s middle name is [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] and last name is extremely close to [name_u]Gray[/name_u], so I might be biased. But I also don’t think the x into S flows as well. They kinda of slur together. Good luck!
I’m so sorry you had a bad week! I hear you about your disappointment on possibly having to have a C-section. But just to give you a little birthing pep talk, I think that there is too much pressure on women for everything to be “perfect” including the birth. But birth is messy and difficult even under the best of circumstances. Once you have your little guy in your arms, nothing else will matter!
Looks like I’m the lone vote again for [name_m]Cisco[/name_m], as I think it’s a great name. But I also really like [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and I might prefer it just a little bit with your last name. Also not to muddy the waters if you don’t want to consider or reconsider other names but if I remember correctly you considered Nimoy or [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] in the past. What about [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m]? To me that is such an incredibly handsome name and fits fabulously with your last name.
I think I’m in the minority but I’m not a fan of [name_u]Grey[/name_u]. Although I like the color gray to me the name [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is a bit of a bummer. But I think that’s just me based on all the other posters…
