This name has been growing on me lately. It’s a rare Arabic name, but I think it’s cute and I like the sound. The only problem with it is it reminds me of the Israeli snack called Bamba and the Russian word for bomb. What do you think of the name Bamba? Please respond as well as vote in the poll.
My first thought was [name_f]Bambi[/name_f], though it’s not bad. [name_m]The[/name_m] bomb association is really unfortunate though.
Unfortunately, my first association is the song “La Bamba.”

Unfortunately it reminds me of [name_f]Bambi[/name_f], bombs, and the peanut butter snack from Trader Joes.. I think it could work as a nickname for a different name, maybe [name_f]Bambina[/name_f] or [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]?
It reminds me of Bamba Sutherland.
I think it’s a nice name and it has a cute meaning in Arabic (“pink”). It probably works best on someone who has the heritage to back it up.
Between the song and the deer I just can’t get on board with this.
Never hears of this name until now. Would take some getting used to. If you love it I’d say middle name only.
