Bambi?

I’m loving [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] right now. It ticks all of my boxes.

What are your thoughts/ first impressions of [name_f]Bambi[/name_f]?
Is it usable?
Middle name ideas?

[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] isn’t a favourite of mine. For me I find her a bit too cutesy and strongly associate her with the film. I know that she’s been pushed into the limelight by Molly-Mae & [name_u]Tommy[/name_u] Fury using the name for their child which makes me think she’ll have a burst of popularity behind her but personally I’m not keen. However even though [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] isn’t a favourite of mine I think she is usable especially if you pair with a longer more sophisticated middle name. Something like [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f].

Yes I had down [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] and [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]

[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] is maybe just a bit too cutesy for me - too [name_f]Disney[/name_f], too ‘bambino’/‘bambina’ (ie. little girl - or something babies get called?)

Still, I think it would make a cute nickname to something like [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f], [name_f]Amabel[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Mabli[/name_f]. [name_u]Or[/name_u], to go with the Disney/deer thing - I thought it would be cute for [name_f]Fiadh[/name_f]!

Some middle ideas:

[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Luella[/name_f]
[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_u]Florence[/name_u]
[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Collette[/name_f]
[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Bambi[/name_f] [name_f]Lois[/name_f]

Hey, please don’t feel offended —- I think that Bambi though isn’t really a nice name because reminds me of various sexual connotations and it is very infantilising in my opinion, and reminds me of the word “bimbo” . Now, I think that a similar name you might like is Bonnie? :blue_heart:

Hmmm, probably not the most wearable name this day and age. I wouldn’t use it personally.

Personally I like the kitschy/vintage feel but in the real world the only people I know who have used the name [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] have worked in the adult industry. Idk how wide spread that is or if ita just my experience but it has made the name unusable for me.

Huge molly mae vibes. Honestly, its very strippery and i cant see a grown women called bambi … i would definitely use it as a fun nickname (e.g. Lovey,Sweetheart,Etc)
. I know a [name_f]Amber[/name_f] who goes by Ambi [name_f]Bambi[/name_f]

I just think of the deer. I don’t think it’s usable for a human, only for pets.

I really am not a fan… the strong associations I see with this name are that if the [name_f]Disney[/name_f] deer and that with the adult industry/ bimbo imagery that others have mentioned.

Before reading the comments, I was going to say “usable!” I hadn’t heard about its sexual connotations, but now knowing that, I think it is a dealbreaker. It’s a shame to, because it has such a fun sound to it, and feels very much like a [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] or [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] or [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f]!

I agree! Makes me sad because I do love it. And I love the adorable nickname potential of Bam or BamBam.

i feel molly mae has sort of made it slightly more mainstream, but i still can’t imagine a bambi over the age of about 7. it does seem akin to names like bonnie or minnie but i think [name_f]Disney[/name_f] and the connotations to the adult industry do make it pretty unusable

I’m pretty young, so it’s all [name_f]Disney[/name_f], for me, sorrym Cute name otherwise (and some of the reasons my previous people)!

Me, too.

I bet there’s a way Bambi could be used, as a nickname! It’s such a cute sound, and the sweet deer movie is a lovely association. Perhaps as a short form for Barbara, Bonnibel, Bobby-Mae/Bobbi-May, or Bramwell?
